Still Pregnant

Well, I am still pregnant. It has been a quick but slow week!

Last weekend, I was so sure I would go into labor, if not on the weekend at least by Mon, the 14th! :) So, John and I did everything we could to get our little girl to join us! On Saturday we went for a long walk and then we went to Pizza Hut to eat spicy wings! After that we went to Wal-Mart to buy pineapple and just walk around for another hour. As crazy as I felt trying to force my child out, I really enjoyed the bonding time with my Husband!

Saturday night Lady Braves played Sterling College at home! The prediction was that I would go into labor mid-game, especially if it was a good game! Talk about a fantastic game!! I cried at the end when we beat them by 5!!!! Talk about fantastic! :) But no baby....

Sunday, I just felt depressed. I sat around, took a nap, just couldn't really do much.

Monday, my students were super excited when I walked into the gym! In fact, every day this week their faces lit up when I walked in since they never knew which day I wouldn't return. Silly kids. Monday was fine, and the evening was good because I kept busy. I walked from our home to OU, about 3.5 miles, I met John there and then we went for Mexican for Vday. After that we went to watch the KU/Kstate game at a friends house.....that result was not happy. When people asked what John and I were getting each other for Vday our response was, a baby. Our Vday present to each other is a wee bit late! lol

Tuesday we had our dr appt. On our way up to the dr we got a call that Dr. C had to cancel her appts. I, being the crazy 40 week pregnant lady, was not happy!! I said, I don't care who I see but I'm going to see someone! So we went to the other office and saw Dr. King. She was nice....but def like Dr C better. Dr. K checked me and said I was at a 3! Which is great! She also stripped my membranes, which they say if it works the baby would be here within 48 hours. I'm still pregnant 48 hours later, but I do feel it has helped. After the dr we went to Target and did some final shopping for things we needed for the baby! We walked around there for quite a while and then we were ready to head home. On our way towards home, we realized how close we were to the Erickson's house. So we went by and surprised them!! Dale and Emma were gone, but we visited with Amy and Ellarie all night, then Dale and Emma came home. It was a great way to spend my evening and keep my mind off of things! We have the best friends ever!

Wednesday, again, when I got home from work I walked to OU to meet John. This time it just really hurt my back. My poor body! But it was a beautiful day so it felt great to get out. John and I spent the evening paying bills and hanging out. Unfortunately, right before we went to bed I got Super sick! But I have the best husband ever who takes amazingly good care of me!!

Thursday, Last day of work!!! It was weird actually knowing that I would not go back to work after this day. So at the end of the day, I stuck around and finished things up. I figured might as well get everything together. So, I ended up staying at work until 8:00. With a lovely dinner break with John and His mom (spicy wings at pizza hut again!) But I was able to accomplish everything I needed to at school. It was a good way to spend the evening, keeping busy.

Friday, well, I have today off. So I am going to clean, clean, clean this house. That way come Monday it is ready for baby! :) Then this evening, hopefully John and I can find something to do, so I don't go stir crazy!

I just pray and pray that she comes soon! I'm so ready to meet my little bundle of joy! She is already teaching me patience and helping me rely on my Faith in God! How amazing that before she's even here she's helping me with my walk with God! What a joyous day it will be when she chooses to come! I can't wait!! :)

Getting Closer

Little Girl, your daddy and I are waiting to meet you! Your daddy is doing a much better job being patient than I am! :)

Last Monday, January 31, you didn't move very much and you concerned your mommy and daddy. When we went to our dr appt the doctor decided we should go get a non-stress test for you done. So your daddy and I spent an hour in the hospital listening to your heartbeat and watching how many times you moved! :) We also enjoyed some Wheel of Fortune. I love watching Wheel of Fortune with your daddy and I can't wait for you to get to watch it with us!

Anyways, you passed the non-stress test with flying colors! Then your daddy and I went to pick up your car seat/stroller! Then we booked it home because the news was freaking out about a blizzard that was coming in. Luckily, we made it home and the roads weren't too bad.

So, the news was right and the blizzard came in! So Feb 1 your daddy and I spent it at home because we both had a snow day! :) Your daddy put together your stroller and car seat and I worked on my sub plans, for when you come! Then Feb 2nd we got another snow day! We had four foot drifts in the yard! It was quite the snowstorm! I even got a third snow day out of the deal, but your daddy had to go back that day.

Today I am home again from work, because we got 7 more inches of snow last night. All these snow days are encouraging you to stay put!! I need to be at work getting you worked up to join us! :) I am going to walk the stairs today see if that helps you think about coming! :) We can't wait to meet you! :)
