Everything Eliana: SIX MONTHS OLD

Goodness Gracious! You are such a big girl!! :) I can't believe you are six months old already! :) You are half way to a year!!!
you are changing and discovering new things daily - there's no way I can remember it all!!

You are 27 inches tall, which is in the 85 percentile! And you are 16 pounds, 13 ounces, which is the 59 percentile! And Dr. Nichols said, again, that you were perfect! But we already knew that! :)


This is a photo of your first trip to Dairy Queen in Iola, you will make this trip MULTIPLE times!! Trust me!! :)

You are just moving all over the place! Seriously, you roll like crazy, back and forth, back and forth...you are also scooting around! You get up on all fours like you're going to crawl, and then you fall flat again, but I'm sure it won't be long before you're crawling! You have pretty good balance when you're standing too! And you're sitting up very well! :)

We just bumped you up to 6 ounce bottles. You are still nursing in the evenings and at night. But you have formula during the day. And you're doing very good with it. You love your rice cereal! You also have had carrots, which you really liked. And you just started eating apples, they may be just a little tart for you. But you're doing good. We'll try sweet potatos soon! :)

You are NOT sleeping through the night! You wake up usually at 1, 3, and 5:45! I need you to sleep longer!! But we are working on it! :) You go to bed around 9 and we get up every day at 6:15!
You are doing very good at Jodi's! I'm so thankful!

Oh my goodness,aren't you just so stinkin adorable! :) You are just transitioning to 6 month clothing. But for the most part you're still wearing your 3-6 month clothing. You just moved in to size 3 diapers! And we have transitioned you to Luv's.

You love looking at yourself in the mirror. You hit it and smile SO big!!

You LOVE other kids! This is Miles! There was a little girl in the drs office and you just smiled and lauged at her! You really Love your Cousin Bekkah now too! You don't get scared when she walks in! :)

You reach your arms up now when you want us to pick you up! I love it! And you get so excited when you see us walk into the room!
You still have no teeth, but you CHEW ON EVERYTHING! And you drool a lot!

You are a beautiful baby! I can't wait to see you continue to grow and learn!

You know you're mobile when...

I meant to post this a few weeks ago but we've been so busy with school starting that I haven't had time!!
But you know that you're getting mobile when you start to get bruises! You are rolling and scooting like nuts!! We can't keep you contained to save our lives! :) You roll and scoot to get your toys, you really enjoy your jumperoo! You just jump and jump and jump in there! This last weekend we were at Grandma and Grandpa's and you jumped on their wooden floor to the point your toes were bleeding! But you sure didn't care!
Even Jodi thought your legs were SUPER strong! And she's seen lots of babies! :)

Here is a picture of your first bruise! Your Aunt Jami accidently snapped your leg into your carseat! She felt really bad....and you screamed....but really only for a little bit.


And the next picture is a picture of your face after you rolled yourself off the couch! You ask, why weren't you there with me!? Oh, I was sitting RIGHT beside you - and I broke your fall a little -but you're just too fast!!
In case you can't tell, your cheek is red and the side of your head/forehead area!

Oh little girl, some how we need to baby proof this house before you become fully mobile! Oh! And you've gotten up in the crawl position on your hands and knees many times! It used to be you'd get up there and then immediately fall. But now you're staying up in the position for what feels like a long time! I'm sure it's not very long at all....like maybe a minute. But I am still very impressed! :)

I promise to continue to watch you carefully to make sure you don't get too many bruises!! :)

New Schedule!

Oh, Miss Eliana! School is going to start soon!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Our summer is ending way faster than we could ever imagine! The past week and a half we have done a lot of nothing! When I say nothing, I mean LOTS and LOTS of playing! :) We have been in the house, only leaving once in a while. Last week, we had three days with no visitors and we didn't leave the house! Just mommy-Eliana time! It. Was. Fantastic! :)
So, this summer I got you to start sleeping in until 10! Well, 9:30 or 10! :) I was lovely! So, this week I thought we'd better start getting up a little earlier! So we got up at 8. Next week, we have to start going down to Garnett so we're going to be getting up at 5:30!
You have done fabulous switching to 8. You wake up on your own at 8, you eat, then we play, play, play! Then at 11 you get really sleep. I try to keep you awake until 12. Some days I was successful, and some days I wasn't. Either way, you would then take a 3-4 hour nap either starting at 11 or 12! It has been amazing! :) We will see what happens next week with getting up at 5:30 and going to Jodi's! I'm going to miss you so much!! *Sigh* I know we have to go back to work and daycare....but I sure have enjoyed my special time with you!
