Everything Eliana: 7 Months!

Didn't I JUST post your 6 month post!? I am really feelng like time is slipping me by...and I'm not a fan! I told my students that it was your 7 month birthday - and one of my kids goes, in 5 months she'll turn 1! I just can't believe I'll be planning your first birthday soon! Oh sweet girl, it just seems impossible!

So, You are definetly crawling! Okay, up on your knees you can do it - but you're slower at it so you tend to drop and go back to army crawling so you can get to your destination faster! But you can go any direction you feel! You just recently discovered that there is a lot more floor than what is just by you! You found the other half of our living room, and just today you discovered the kitchen! You are a pro at sitting up now too! 

 You are in size 3 diapers! And you are pretty much wearing 6 month clothing. You still wear some 3-6 month clothing, and if it's used clothing you can wear some 9 month - but it's pretty big on you.

You have had more food now! You have had carrots, sweet potatos, bananas, apples, prunes, rice cereal, and oatmeal! Your favorite is bananas and sweet potatos! You had peas for the first time tonight and you did not like them! You are also still eating bottles. You have 4 ounce bottles at daycare, 6 ounce bottles at home, and one 8 ounce bottle right before bed!

You just started to sleep through the night again. The past 3 nights you have gone to bed later (9:30 or 10) and slept through the entire night! Of course, tonight you went back to bed at 8:00 - so you might wake up again!

Your daily routine is pretty predictable! Which I love! We wake up around 6-6:15. You feed yourself a bottle while I shower. You hang out in the bathroom, typically crawling all over the place, while I get ready for the day. At about 6:50 you get a diaper change and you get dressed for the day. Then you play in the living room while I get dressed and finish getting ready! We go and say goodbye to daddy at 7, and we're in the car and headed for Garnett by 7:03! :)

You typically take a nap on the way to Garnett. Then we get to Jodi's and you're just so happy! At Jodi's you eat cereal and fruit for breakfast around 9, a bottle around 11:30, you nap from 12:30 to 3:00, have a bottle at 3:15, and I come to get you at 3:45. In between all that eating and sleeping you play on the floor and play in the walker!

On the way back to Garnett you typically had been sleeping; but lately you just sit back there and talk and chew on your foot! :) When we get home we play and hang out, then you eat some fruit, vegetable, and oatmeal at 5:30. Then you typically take a 30 min nap! Then we play the rest of the night. I barely sit anywhere but the floor in the evening because I want to spend time with you! Then at 8, 8:30, or 9 you go to bed! :)

You are waving hi/bye!! Can you believe it!? You started at daycare when they would say hi/bye to the cars that drove by. Now you do it to us too! You waved bye to me this morning when I left you at Jodi's!

You passed out on the floor while playing the other night!

If we are ever in the same room as you, you whine and crawl over to us trying to get us to pick you up! Tonight I was frosting cookies and you were practically wrapped around my ankle! You had both fists full of my pants and your body was wrapped around them!

Your daddy and I can't get over how cute you are! You love other kids and just always want to play with them!

You are just growing like a weed! I CANNOT decide what you should be for Halloween...it is so difficult to decide, but we will! No matter what, I am sure you'll be just adorable!

Kansas State Fair

Well, this past weekend we went to the State fair! You will be a lucky kid that gets to go to the fair every year! Most kids that live in Ottawa area don't get to go to the fair!

Your weekend started out with you seeing Uncle Andrew! You were so excited to see him again!

Here we are walking in to the fair! Bekkah was so excited to "share" the fair with you!  

Here you and Bekkah are watching a video in the birthing center. You didn't appreciate the little animals this year, but probably next year you'll like them!

MMMMMMMM! Your first taste of real food. You weren't really sure what to do about this big yellow thing dad was putting in front of your face! I'm pretty sure you didn't really get much of a taste! But you will soon learn and LOVE roasted corn on the cob!  

You were so worn out! You hadn't really had a nap ALL day! You poor thing! So, when we went through the crazy buildings I put you in the carrier - and you passed out! I'm so glad we did becuase you were able to take a nice nap!

Overall, we had a great day at the fair! You were such a good baby! I don't know how I was so blessed with such a great baby! It makes me worry about what we're in store for when you're a toddler.... 

What a great weekend we had with our family! I look forward to sharing my love for the Kansas State Fair with you every year! I know it will be a trip you look forward to every year!

Da-Da

Sweet Little Girl,

You have started to say "da-da-da-da-da-da" :) I love that you're learning new things! :)

You are also army-crawling all over the place! You're CONSTANTLY getting up on all fours, in the crawling position, I mean CONSTANTLY! :) You are going to be crawling so soon!

 Here is a picture of you and Rebekkah at Mimi and Papa's. Papa got both you and Bekkah motorcycle outfits! :)

 Your cousin Bekkah loves you so much! You LIGHT UP when you see Rebekkah. We were at a volleyball tournament today and there was a little girl about Bekkah's age and you just couldn't get enough of her! I know you thought she was your Rebekkah! :)

 You're such a sweet little girl! So, last night we went out with Catie and Brayden. You and Brayden were the best babies ever! No Joke! barely any fussing all night. We went out to eat and then to the mall. Of course Catie and I both forgot our memory cards!! So we didn't get many pictures. But while I was paying for some pants for you Catie was holding you. Then when I was done she asked you if you were ready to go back to your momma. And you got this VERY serious look on your face and said "uh-huh" and nodded your head! Catie and I just CRACKED up!

Can you tell what your favorite sleeping position is? You love to have one hand by your face, if not two! :)

Little Girl, I love you so much! You're to the point that you recognize us when we walk into the room (maybe I wrote about this in the last post?).But when I come to get you from daycare you get SO excited. Lately you have been in your little walker and you just start jumping, and you smile really big, and you start "talking"! I love it! However, at home, it does make it hard to get a lot done. You just always want to be in my arms, my lap, etc. If I'm laying on the floor playing with you it's fine, but if I'm not and you can see me, you will whine until I pick you up, or you will army-crawl to me until you force yourself on my feet! But I am not complaing, I do love feeling loved by you!!!! :)

Another Fabulous Weekend

Oh Little Girl,
This weekend we went and saw Mimi and Papa in Buhler! Your cousin Bekkah was VERY excited to see you as well! And we got to see your Aunt Jami and Uncle Matt. It really was a great relaxing weekend overall.
The best part was watching you continue to shock us all the time! You are so ready to take off crawling, it's ridiculous! You get up on your hands and knees ALL the time! You rock back and forth when you get up there. This weekend you actually moved your knee half way forward....one small movement towards crawling! However, you do scoot and army crawl all over the room, plus roll. You can get everywhere! Seriously everywhere! Oh it breaks my heart how fast you're growing! I am excited, and I really can't wait for all the fun things we'll get to do when you're older, but I miss my baby already!
This weekend I talked about your Halloween costume - I can't decide what to have you wear. I also talked about your first birthday party. I realized if I want to plan a great day, I better start looking and thinking about ideas now!

I have a new reason to worry about you.....tonight after I put you to bed, I went to check on you - and you had wrapped your whole head up in your blanket!! I freaked out for a minute and quickly unwrapped you....now that you're moving you can move things in your crib - and it makes me nervous! Little girl, I will continue to pray for your safety always - I'm sure that never changes from now until forever I will always pray for your safety and that you make wise choices! :)
