Thankful During Thanksgiving

We went to Buhler the weekend before Thanksgiving to hang out with Mimi, Papa, and the Simons. We went to the Christmas parade in Hutchinson....it was COLD COLD COLD! And the parade was long - we ended up leaving before the parade was over...I think we were there for an hour and a half!

After the parade we went to the Hallmark store to pick out your ornaments from Mimi. Elijah, Bekkah, and you all got to pick out a special ornament to represent you for Mimi's tree!

Trying to get a picture of your Thanksgiving Shirt: it says: "I'm THANKFUL for... pie, mom, dad, home ---it is a very cute sparkly shirt! :)

You also got to help Mimi decorate the tree! :)

So for Thanksgiving break we went to Gandma and Grandpa's house. We hung out with the Taylors, the Garcias, The Aikins, Naomi, Gandpa and Teresa, your grandparents, Grandpa Jimmie, Grandma Sam....there were lots of people! We went over to Cindy's for Thanksgiving where we also hung out with the Coffields, Nick's family, and Uncle Rodney and Aunt Rhonda!

You love you Gandpa Jimmie!

While the girls were out celebrating Taylor getting married you hung out with Austin and the other boys!

You guy are so cute! You love hanging out with Gabe and Natalia!

I am so thankful this Thanksgiving for family and love. We are VERY loved by all of our family - and we're very lucky to have such a loving and large family! I'm beyond thankful for you little miss! You are growing up and you are so cute and adorable - getting big and learning so much! I look at you and thank God he chose me to be your mommy! I sure am lucky! You are  a beautiful little girl and I'm thankful to share another Thanksgiving with you!

Love you!
Mommy

**Our keyboard on our laptop isn't working very good. It likes to leave out about every other letter. I tried to catch most - but if there are letters missing you know why! :)

Christmas Tree 2012

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!!

Time to go get our Christmas Tree again! This year was so much fun because you knew more of what was going on! Last year, it was rainy and cold - this year was perfect weather!
At first you weren't too sure....you wanted mommy to carry you and you were a little fussy! BUT, it was also, your nap time! :) You did a great job though considering the timeframe!

Checking out the tree!
Auntie M teaching you about picking out a good tree!! :)

You were so excited to run around once you got comfortable!

Here is our tree!! We topped it off, and only took 8 feet. It was the best tree we've ever got!

The gang!!

You had to also help walk Murphey!

We also had to take a picture with Charlie Brown for Mimi!

You were so cute when we stood the tree up! Your response was "WHOA!" :)

Helping daddy tighten it in!

Thanks Auntie M for teaching me about the trees! :)

I'll have to post a picture of the tree later - because apparently I haven't taken any photos of it after we decorated it - but you did love to help me decorate it too! :)

So much fun! Next year we'll look for a new tree farm - because they don't have very many tall trees anymore....so we'll need to look for some more! Christmas is just around the corner....we will soon celebrate!

You love playing with your Nativity Scene! You like how it plays music!

You also know who Baby Jesus is - which I love! As I was setting up the nativity we were talking about the story and you really latched on to who it was! LOVE IT! Now, everytime we see Baby Jesus you get all excited!

Merry Christmas Baby!
Love you,
Mommy

Off to Michigan

We got together one last time with the Ericksons before they moved away and were no longer Kansans. Oh, how sad it is to lose our best friends in distance - but we know that we will always be besties. You and Ellarie, and Emma will always have a special bond. And Amy and I are like the same person, so there's no way we can't be best friends for life! Sadly, we just won't get to see them quite as often.
Here you are feeding Ellarie at Mi Ranchito - Ellarie was doing the same for you! Silly, silly girls! :)

Emma LOVES her Eliana, and you can't get enough of your Emma Jean!

I love this picture of the 3 of you holding hands! :)

Ellarie and Eliana CHEESING it for the camera! :)

Daddy reading the Bible to you and Emma!

You guys were taking turns jumping on this little metal thing! :)

Eliana, I want you to know how very special Emma and Ellarie will be to you growing up. They are going to be like your sisters, but better, because you won't fight with them like you will a sister. They won't live here and take your things - so you won't have that sisterly-annoyance to deal with, only the sisterly-love and friendship! I had a family friend growing up who was like a sister - our parents were best friends which is what makes those "sibling-friends" and that will be our two families.
I just get so giddy inside thinking about the future trips to visit the Ericksons and knowing how you will run to the bedroom with Ellarie and Emma and giggle and stay up all night - and play and play!
Emma and Ellarie are our Goddaughters, and it pains me they are so far away now, but I know they will grow up to be beautful young ladies! :)
Amy and Dale, good luck on your new adventure! We will continue to pray for your family, and we look forward to the many visits back and forth!
We love you guys!!!

What Sherry has to Say pt 2 :)

Round two of what Sherry, your daycare provider, has to say about you. :) Every day we get a little something :)
9/7/12 - Ithink it's funny when she does something she knows she's not suppose to - she turns and looks at me as if to say "ha-you didn't catch me!"

9/14/12 - Eliana and Cooper (he's younger than you) were passing toys back and forth to eahc other without screaming!! Or saying "MINE"!

9/17/12 - Eliana loves being a mommy to Cooper!
*note from mommy: that is so true!! You are such a mommy to your babydolls- and to your cousin Elijah, and friend Kinsley. Just last night you took a wipe and cleaned Kinsley's face for her! - even though Kinsley's face was already clean! :)

9/20/12 - Seh even tried a noodle from my goulash - don't think she knew what to think of that...

9/24/12 - As we were coming in the house from playing outside eliana tripped in our garage - she has a little red mark on her cheek. She was full of giggles today!

9/26/12 - I don't know what to say about her bottom, but man - it is really bad. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I change her more than I do the other kids. If she doesn't have a yeast infection; I have no earthly idea what I am doing wrong. It is very very very red; almost looks like it could start bleeding. I did put the butt paste on her. That even hurt her; so I just "pasted" it on the diaper so I wouldn't have to touch her skin. She ate the banana's both at lunch AND lunch and breakfast. She ate a whole turnover and for lunch the bread. 2% milk. I use your wipes and nothing else (except for today I put butt paste on and yesterday destin).
**Sidenote from mommy - you had such a bad diaper rash for like a month! It finally went away...still not sure what it was. I started thinking maybe it was like a heat rash - since you were outside all the time at daycare and maybe that was causing it....not sure....but glad you're better! :)

9/28/12 - I am changing her every hour on the hour *sidenote from mommy - this was still due to the diaper rash* - I did not give Eliana any juice. But this poor little girl has got to be hungry - she only ate the banana - apparently she doesn't like PB/Jelly????

10/1/12 - Eliana at the roll and cheese, but methodically took out the ham!! Was hillarious!

10/2/12 - Eliana was such a ham today playing with the dress up clothes! She's definitely a typical girl- loves her shoes!!

10/3/12 - Happy smiley girl! We had trouble with her pulling hair today.

10/4/12 - I love it when she looks at books and pretends to read them as she is turning the pages....soooo cute!

10/15/12 - Eliana knows how to hide when it comes to hide and seek

10/18/12 - Thank thank tahnk you for Eliana! She is soooo polite (sign language)!

10/22/12 - Eliana is quite teh little sweetheart. She is getting to know my rules, because when she does something she's "questionable about"  she looks up at me with those sweet little eyes - just want to melt ya!

10/30/12 - Eliana can be quiet - but she's mighty! She just gets right in the thick of things because she wants to play too.

Big gap here - because you have been so sick lately you've missed a lot of daycare.

11/9/12 - I am letting her take a nap in the living room with the big kids. We'll see! **which you did great!! You stayed on your mat and slept longer than all the other kids! :)

Love you,
Mommy

End of October

Man, we have been so busy lately! October FLEW FLEW FLEW by! Which is okay, because now we're so close to my two favorite holidays! :) And then shortly after will be your birthday! :)

The end of October is always really busy for us. We have Halloween, OU homecoming, and Bekkah's birthday. We can't always go to the Homecoming  because of Bekkah's bday - but it's still a busy week for us. We love to be busy, but yet we like to stay home too...well, let's look at some of the photos from the end of October.

You LOVE to help me bake! You love sitting on the counter, and you're so good at pouring my ingredients into the bowl! :) This time you sat on the counter the entire time we were baking and the entire time I cleaned up.....you're such a good girl! :)
Helping me bake Rebekkah's birthday cake! :)

pouring in the eggs! :)

and the oil

YAY! All done! Of course, we're sportin you Uncle Andrew's Pitt State shirt! :)

We headed home for Bekkah's birthday weekend. It had been like, 6 weeks since we had seen Rebekkah and her mommy and Elijah! So you guys were SOOOO excited to see each other again! :)

Here is the final cake that I made for Bekkah-boo! It is doc McStuffins, her favorite! :)

You LOVED the cake! The other girls all left their cake unattended to play with the toys, so you went from spot to spot eating all of their leftover cake!!!

Singing happy birthday to Miss Bekkah!

This picture is hillarious!! It looks like you're strangling Elijah - but you were trying to hug him and say cheese at the same time!! You shirts say "Mimi's Pumpkin Patch" :) She loved them!!! They were fun ot make too! :)

Off to the pumpkin patch we went!! Look how tall you are this year! :)

You had lots of fun with Mimi! :)

Cutest little spider I've ever seen! :)

You were so cute - you kept saying "choo-choo! choo-choo!" the entire ride! :) You LOVED it, you still say choo-choo when you see this picture! :)

You loved the pumpkin patch. When we got to the patch you kept running from pumpkin to pumpkin all excited!! :)

Here is the pumpkin you chose!! We decided to carve it with an E in it - you loved helping me!

You are such a sweetie-pie. I love you very much.
When we got home from Bekkah's party weekend you would walk around the house saying: Bekkah, Where Bekkah?
me: She's at home.
you: BEKKAH --- that's you yelling it through the house looking for her.
you: Mimi, where mimi?
Me: Mimi's at her house
you: MIMI
you: Papa, where papa?
me: Papa's at his home.
you: PAPA!!
and then REPEAT and Repeat the conversation - you were so sad we had left!! But you will get to see them again soon!! :)

I love you sweet girl,
Mommy
