Everything Eliana: 11 months!

Oh sweet girl!! You are ONE month away from your BIRTHDAY! It kind of makes me sad to think my little tiny baby is growing up! But you are so much fun, and you are growing and changing, and learning! Every day is an adventure! :)

You are officially walking. Tonight you were just walking all over the house! You decided if you wanted a certain toy, or if you wanted to go across the room you were going to walk! So that's what you did! :) Your dad and I just sit and stare in amazement!

Diapers: Size 3

Clothes: Mostly size 12 month. You still wear some 9 month.

You are kind of sleeping through the night.....it makes me nervous to actually write it/say it because I'm afraid it will stop. Most of the month you have slept awful. It was probably your worst month of sleep yet. You would wake up multiple times a night. Usually at 12:30 for a pacifier, 2:30 for a bottle, 4:00 to snuggle, and 5:30 for a bottle! It was crazy! Just this last week, on Tuesday, you woke up at 2:30 and I was SO tired I took a little while to get up (actually I didn't get up) but I kind of rolled over, and you cried a little more - then next thing I knew it was 4:00! You had put yourself back to sleep! And, you have done it all week! You wake up at 2:30 cry for like 3 minutes and then you go back to sleep and don't wake up until 6:30!! It has been an amazing week of sleep!

Schedule:

6:30 - Get up, eat a bottle, lay on the bathroom floor while mommy gets ready

6:50 - Diaper change, get dressed for teh day

7:00 - Kiss daddy good-bye and head to Garnett, sleep on the way there

7:30 - Drop off at Jodi's

8:30 - breakfast - oatmeal and applesauce

11:30 - lunch

12:00 - 3:00 - nap

3:15 - snack

4:00 - Mommy picks you up from Jodi's!

4:00 - 4:30 - drive to Ottawa, hopefully you don't cry/scream!

4:30 - play at home

5:30 - dinner

6:00 - play, play, play

7:00 - bath time

8:00 - 6 oz bottle, bedtime!

Tricks

You are doing so many things I don't even think I can name them all! You clap, wave, blow the BEST kisses, shake your head no, sign "more" and "all done", drink from the sippy cup, feed yourself with a spoon, walk, and so many more things! I don't think you added and new words to your vocab this month.

You know the sound of the bath water, and you know where the bathtub is! You are always trying to open the shower curtain to find the bath tub. You love your bathtime!

You got so many new toys for Christmas. You really play with so many! But I would definitely say one of your favorites is your music table! You just love to stand up so this toy is perfect! You also love your dinsoaur ball poppin toy! You are so smart, you know there is a hole that the balls come out of, so you reach inside and shove the balls down the hole! :) So smart! :)

You stand on your tippy toes to reach anything and everything that you want! It is so cute! But you are in to everything! It is hard to keep you out of certain things!

You hate your hair bows, you won't leave them in! You need to grow hair so I can put clips in your hair! But many people think you hair is growing! Your dad even put your hair in a mohawk last night after your bath! So I'm very excited about that wonderful growing hair! :)

You pretty much eat anything you that's not too hard. You LOVE pizza! You eat your veggies at home, but you don't eat your veggies at Jodi's. You cannot eat chips, because you seem to choke on them! :) You still love applesauce and oatmeal. You also love bananas!

You love to dance! If there is music playing you are typically dancing!

You have four teeth! Four! Two on the bottom, and two on the top! The top two were a lot more painful coming in than the bottom two! You're still using your mouth like a third hand, so I have been bit on the shoulder or knee when you're pulling up! We're still working on that! :)

You upgraded to a new carseat this month! You've needed to for a while, but your daddy and I could NOT decide which one to get! We finally made a decision and we're very happy with it! This is a picture of you in your grandma's carseat!

You have grown so much, and in just one month you will be a year old! I have been actually a little sad this weekend thinking about how big you're getting! I love that you're growing but I look at you and think bout how much I miss my little baby! One month little girl and I will be posting your 12 month post! Let's see what adventures we can have in the next month!

Walking and Barking!! :)

Here are two precious videos of Eliana!

The first is of her WALKING! Oh yes! She has been taking one step here, two steps there, for a while now. But she is so smooth going from standing to sitting, she just gracefully squats, sits, and then crawls, any time we would let go of her hands! Well, today in the kitchen she was really fussy - so I told her if she wanted me to hold her, she would have to walk to me! And sure enough! She took FIVE steps to get to me! Then later, when her daddy got home, she did it again! She walked from me to him and back again! She did this four times. Then I decided to video tape it. The video isn't the best.... but you get the point! :) I'm so proud of my baby and am excited for her to walk even more!

Here's another video of Eliana from tonight. She learned how to BARK! I mean, it's Eliana's bark! She learned it from her cousin Murphy (Aunt Melisa and Uncle Grant's dog). Ever since we spent a few days with everyone of Christmas she says "woof-woof". She was barking up a storm today when we got home from school. There was  dog barking across the street, and she would just stop, look up and bark! So I tried to get it on tape. But of course she stopped when I pulled out the video. If you're interested she does actually "bark" at the end of the video! :)

New Year & First Stepsish! :)

Happy New Year!

For New Year's Eve we had Erin and Devin over to play games. Next year we'll have baby Scott to play with too! We ate dinner and played games. You must have known we were supposed to stay up late - you didn't go to bed until 11:15!! Despite my efforts! :)

The best way to start 2012 was with a church service! It was Sunday so we went to church. I took you to the nursery for the first time! You cried the ENTIRE time I was gone! You were all blotchy when I picked you up! You poor thing! You've never done that before! I am going to take you to the nursery again, but this time I'll ask or a pager in case you get upset again!

ALSO, welcome to 2012! You took two steps last night! You are so good at going from standing to sitting that you don't take any steps, you just go to the floor and crawl! Well, last night you took two steps towards me! You also split your lip trying to walk on Friday! We were at the Zuelke's house and you took a step towards me and face planted on their hard-wood floor. Your lip was SO big and you were bleeding! You are fine, your lip is back at it's normal size - but I was a little worried! We'll keep working on taking those steps - soon enough you'll be running after all the kids at daycare!

For 2012 I'm going to focus on being more ENTHUSIASTIC! I feel that sums up everything I need! I really struggle with the fact that I have to go to school (which isn't always the most pleasant place to be) when I would much rather be with you! So I am going to try to be more positive and upbeat and always look for the silver lining! I know I have to go to school to work and I know it's good for you to be away! So I might as well make the best of it! So I am going to be Enthusiastic in all I do!

I love you sweet girl! It's time to now start planning your FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! :)
