2nd Mother's Day

Sunday, May 13, was our 2nd Mother's Day together! :) We went to Buhler because Elijah was dedicated the same day!

You cousins so love each other! :) You will forever be friends!

Your First Pony Tail!! :) You were so stinkin cute! You can kind of see your spots on your chin in this photo... At the last birthday party we went to one of the little girls came down with hand, foot, mouth disease. We were told on Tuesday, or Wednesday, which was your 2nd day of a high fever. You ran a fever Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Thursday little pimple type dots started to appear. Thursday night you DID. NOT. SLEEP. AT. ALL. I mean, you did a little, but hardly at all. Probably your worst night ever. You just screamed this awful scream we had never heard before. So I decided we were going to the doctor on Friday. I had spoken with the doctor's nurse on Wednesday - but they said there was nothing they could do about hand, foot, mouth so just to be sure your fever didn't get too high and that I didn't need to bring you in, but after Thrsday night it was official we were going in!

So we went to the doctor on Friday and it turned out that you had an ear infection and a sore throat. The dr didn't think your rash was hand, foot, mouth disease because you didn't hae the pimples/blisters on the bottom of your feet or the palm of your hands. He thought maybe you were breaking out from your high fever and your ear infection! I'm still not sure. Some of your spots turned pretty close to blisters....but you never go too bad. And Elijah and Bekkah don't have it - yet anyways - so maybe you didn't have it! Either way you've been on an antibiotic and you are feeling SO much better! :)

Haha - you like doing this now for some reason! You're so silly!

Some new things you're doing:

You LOVE to open and close doors!

You like to try to put the key in the door.

You LOVE putting change in daddy's change bucket!

You know where your ear, belly, and eyes are!

You can sign eat!

You're starting to cling on to me when I drop you off at Jodi's...not sure why we're having this sepeartion anxiety all of a sudden.

You are SO tall. If there is something hanging off the counter (like a plate) you can grab it!

You climb on everything!

You can drink out of a straw!

You bite and hit...not good!!

*In fact you bit a kid at daycare the other day! You left a mark! Granted, it was the kid that bit you a while back - but still!! No Biting little missy!

You are a pro at going up and down the stairs!

You understand so many things!

Little girl, I have to say, I am very blessed to have you! You crack me up everyday! :) I love how much you're always learning! :) I am so blessed to be your mommy and I thank God everyday for choosing me as your mommy, and I thank God everyday for keeping you healthy and safe!

Mommy's Birthday!

Today you are sick. Today is your mommy's birthday. Today has for sure made me realize more than any other day, that I am a mother! And I have loved it! I got a call at noon today that I had to come get you because you had thrown up twice at daycare. So, I went and got you. You spent some time at school and then we headed home. Where we snuggled and hung out. Your daddy had made plans for us to eat dinner together at the Country Club, however, since you were sick we had to cancel the plans. But that was okay....it made me realize that no matter what day it is - I am a mom and you come first! And I really loved it!
So, I guess thanks for getting sick so that we could snuggle and spend extra time together on my birthday! BUT, I hope you feel much better tomorrow and you don't get sick anymore!! :)

You have been doing so many awesome things lately. I think all the time, I need to stop and blog about that. But I don't. So, hopefully I can remember the cool things you've been doing!

You are understanding us so much more lately! You respond correctly when we say: lets go, take it to mama/dada, give a kiss, baby, eat, outside, night-night, Go to Eliana's room....that's all I can think of right now.

You of course have been blowing kisses for FOREVER! However, you have gotten REALLY good at giving kisses on the lips! :) You gave Grandma-Great and Grandpa-Great a kiss on the lips at church on Sunday! You were so sweet! My favorite day was about a week ago, I picked you up from Jodi's and you leaned forward all funny, so I looked at you and you found my lips and gave me a kiss!! It was so, so sweet! :)

Today, there was some trash in our living room. So you picked it up and took it to the kitchen, directly to the trashcan and threw it away!!! I couldn't believe it!!! You're so smart! :)

You are obsessed with shoes. I have to put your shoes away in the closet right away or else we lose possible shoes because you enjoy playing with them. You also like to pick up my shoes and put them on my feet! And yesterday we caught you putting your daddy's shoes on! It was so cute! :)

You can also clean your face with a washcloth!! you're so cute!! :)

I can't believe how much you've grown and learned in the last month! You continue to amaze me!!
