That's right, Eliana, you're going to be a big sister! Your daddy and I thought maybe you would become a big sister when you were 3 1/2 but, God had different plans and your daddy and I are very happy about it!
God's timing is always best you know! Remember that! Your daddy and I were nervous about thinking about giving you a sibling.....because we had to go through a lot to have you, and we thought if we had to go through all that pain again maybe we wouldn't want to do it.... But God decided for us...and just like you He has granted us with a little miracle! :)
So, lets compare. When I got pregnant with you little girl...I was very sick. I would lay on the living room floor in the dark watching tv.....I had terrible headaches so I would try to stay in the dark. I would get sick about 3 times every morning....when camp came Dr. C prescribed me zofran...which helped a lot...I would still get sick once every morning but that would be it. I took zofran up until you were born.
So far with this baby I have been sick. Not everyday like with you...sometimes 3 days a week....sometimes every other day....don't get me wrong I throw up at least once every morning....but the days I am really sick...I am really sick! All day...all day....all day...it's terrible. Now, with you I was sick all day but it was summer and I had no responsibilities.....now, I'm super sick and I'm trying to teach and take care of you. Your poor daddy! He has really had to start taking over my jobs too! He is such an amazing guy! :) he gets up with you and gets you ready in the mornings....takes care of the house, and you, and me! You and I are so lucky to have him! :)
We found out we were having a baby on January 15. We saw the baby on January 28....there was a small heartbeat! So, Dr. C had us come back at 8 weeks just to be sure all was going well....we went back February 11 and the baby's heartbeat was 165 and going strong! :) the baby was measuring just a bit big so they moved our due date to September 21....your daddy's birthday is September 23rd! :) looks like we will be busy in September! :)
So, little miss Eliana, you're going to be a big sister in September and I'm very excited! I'm not sue how 4 of us are going to live in this small house! But we will make it! :) can't wait to watch you in your new role!

Well, I am now 14 weeks pregnant with your baby sibling. I am feeling better. Still get sick once...or twice...if I'm not lucky 3 times in the morning. But it's not too bad. I went almost an entire week without having a TERRIBLE headache. I take tylenol daily but I can pretty much function. But once in a while I get killer headaches that put me on the couch for the day! The Doctor prescribed me a massage....hoping that helps. I just need to find time to go get one done :) I still have had NO zofran!!
You are SUPER sweet! It's slightly sad that you can associate the tylenol bottle with mommy's head. But, you say - Mama boo boo, head? and I say yes. and you pull my face down with your two hands and kiss my forehead :) You're such a kind, helpful kid. When I get sick in the mornings you say, Mama sick. You have figured out what daddy does to help though. The other day daddy was getting ready, so you came in and sat beside me.. You asked if I wanted a drink (because daddy always gets me a cup of water) and you asked if I needed a towel (because he also gets me a washcloth). You tried to get me those things...but daddy helped. And then you gave them to me! :) You were so proud of yourself!
You know where the baby is....yet, you aren't very gentle when you are jumping all over my stomach! :)
I went back to the doctor on March 11th. All was good. Baby is growing and the heartbeat was strong! I can't wait till May when we get to know if you're having a baby brother or sister! :)
Oh! I should share how we told our families! We were in Iola, on Feb 3, visiting the family. It was a rough time for the family - Grandpa Great was not doing well, and in fact he passed away the day after we told the family. I made a shirt that said "Big Sister Spet 2013" on it. All of our family was hanging out in the kitchen and you walked in. I made the shirt with puff paint, so that was a new feeling for you...so it didn't take long for your Aunt Melisa to notice your shirt because you were playing with the paint. :) She was so excited..then your Grandma noticed. Your Grandpa was very confused and didn't get it for a minute...but then he did! :) They are very excited for you to be a big sister :)
The following weekend we went to Buhler. Friday, Feb 8, we headed, so I put you in your big sister shirt, and we were on our way. It was a little chilly - so I kept your sweater on over for the ride. When we got to Buhler you ran straight to your Mimi and Papa and gave them hugs. Then you heard Bekkah downstairs so you wanted to go find her. So, Mimi said, "Let's take your jacket off then you can go play" She took your jacket off and within 30 seconds she was squealing with excitement....Papa turned around all confused and so Mimi turned you around and showed Papa your shirt...he was jumped up and down and clapped :) All the excitement made you nervous and you kinda ran over to me. Your Aunt Jami and Uncle Matt showed up right after that. It took Aunt Jami about 60 seconds to notice your shirt...she jumped up and down, clapped, and screamed! You got really scared at this and ran to me. Everyone was very excited in Buhler to have a new baby! :) We told Uncle Andrew at your birthday weekend. He was sleeping on the couch and I got sick in the morning....this is how he knew I was pregnant with you - he was living with us at the time and had to listen to me get sick every morning...he never said anything though until I told him :) So, after I got sick on your birthday weekend he knew we were having another baby!! :)
I still haven't posted our news on facebook. I think I'm enjoying just knowing we're having a baby and our families and friends knowing. I'm not ready to share with the world. Maybe I'll share in May. But, I'm pretty sure everyone who reads this already knows :) So, I'm not too concerned about posting on our blog. :)
Love you little girl!

Taylor's Wedding
We went on your first out of state trip! We went all the way to Texas! We were headed for your first experience as flowergirl! :) Cousin Taylor Garcia was getting married to Austin!
So, your daddy, grandpa, you, and me all headed to Texas on Thursday at 5:00. We picked up Grandpa in Iola and left Iola around 7:00. We traveled through the night. Your grandpa drove the entire way with your daddy keeping him company. I dozed off and on throughout the night. You watched Mickey Mouse until about 9:30, then you fell asleep. You didn't get out of your carseat at all on the trip (which resulted in a very wet diaper!) :) You did wake up around 1:00 when your daddy and grandpa were filling up the car with gas. You were so cute! But then you wanted a snack...so you ate some goldfish and watched Mickey until you fell asleep around 3:00 a.m. When we arrived in SugarLand, TX it was 5:45 in the morning! We were all pretty hungry, so we checked in to our hotel and then we ate the breakfast the hotel provided :)
Then, your grandpa, daddy, and I were pretty tired and we thought we'd go rest....but you were NOT tired and you were ready to play! So, we had Grandma, who was already in Texas, come get you so we could get some rest! You enjoyed seeing all of our family again! You loved playing with Natalia and Gabe too!
So, let's get to all the pictures of you as a beautiful flower girl and all of the wedding festivities!
You were so excited to carry your basket around! :)
You and Natalia in your pretty purple tutus and your Austin and Taylor Shirts! :)
You RAN down the aisle. In fact, I don't have any pictures of you on the wedding day, because you RAN that day too....and no one could get your picture you were too fast! BUT, you did it with a smile...and you were happy to be walking down the aisle!!
Mommy and Daddy at Rehearsal!
At rehearsal dinner a mariachi band showed up! You LOVED the music. In fact, we were headed to change your diaper, and we had to walk by the band. We ended up standing in front of the band for 3 songs! You would just Dance, and Dance, and Dance!! You had so much fun...you also would come up to me and put your hands on my hips and sway them back and forth trying to get me to dance! You LOVED the mariachi band!! Here you are dancing with Great Aunt Glenna! I finally convinced you to sit in your chair because your pizza had arrived (yes, pizza at a mexican restaurant!)....but you still danced between bites! :)
On the wedding day we went to the park for the morning....you didn't have any responsibilities until after nap time. So we went to wear you guys down for naps! :) You had so much fun! The weather was so beautiful! It was almost too warm....but so wonderful and enjoyable! We're back in Kansas...and we miss that nice weather as it's snowing right now!!
mmmmm.......Grilled Chesses for lunch! :)
We went back to the hotel after lunch and you took a VERY long nap! We had to leave the hotel by 3:30 to make it to the church for pictures....but you just slept and slept...we finally had to wake you up a little after 3:00 to get you ready!!! :)
Walking in to the church with Great Grandma Teresa!
When we got there you ran straight to Princess Taylor and gave her a BIG hug! As you can tell by her smile this made her so happy!! I'm so glad you love love love your "Auntie" Taylor! :)
Before the wedding we hung out in a room with some toys. You enjoyed playing with this train! You LOVED it...we don't have any trains at home....maybe we should get you one :)
You read a story with Princess Taylor before the wedding!
We had to wait a long time (really 30 min, but it felt really long with a 2 year old!). So, we waited outside...we were actually watching a lizard....which eventually lept from the wall to the bushes....this little lizard provided lots of entertainment :)
After you walked down the aisle....hanging out with grandpa!
How we entertain a flowergirl during a wedding :)
This was so cute! We were in the middle of taking lots of photos...I turned around and you were squatting here with both hands at your head...by the time I got the photo you had moved one hand.
But this sums up how stressful a flower girl's job can be :)
You are your daddy's girl.....you LOVE shoes! :) You grabbed your Auntie M's shoes and started walking around in them :)
When we got to the wedding you started to dance RIGHT away!! You were ready to boogie!
Dancing with Auntie M!
Dancing with Grandma and Grandpa and Daddy!
Our pretty family at the reception! :)
And this was you by the end of the night. We left at 10:00. As soon as we got outside the fresh air hit you and you woke up! You pointed to the door and said "Dance....Dance...Dance!" :) You wanted to dance some more....but we took you back to the hotel :)
We had a great trip. You traveled back to KS well too. We left at 11:00 a.m. and arrived back in Iola at 1:00 a.m.!! It was a long day. But you watched Mickey, played with your toys, ate, and took a couple of naps! You did really good! :) I was so proud of you! And we're glad you did so well...because we're thinking of taking 2 road trips this summer....one to South Carolina and one to Michigan! Both VERY long road trips. The only problem has been....since we've been home you tend to fuss when I put you in your carseat. I think you think we're going to go on a SUPER long trip again! :)
Alright, little girl, I love you so much!
