What Sherry has to say!

It's another episode of What Sherry Has to Say! As I've mentioned before, Sherry sends out an email everyday that tells me about your day. It always says what fun things you guys have been doing, and then what you ate, and then sometimes at the end there is a special note about you guys! :) I LOVE getting these emails daily!! Also, this blog post will have pictures - from the various pictures Sherry shares with us! :)

8/14/13 - Eliana did have an accident this morning. As we were outisde; she did tell me, I just couldn't get her in the bathroom in time. :( Potty before nap! (Sherry was great with helping us continue to keep you potty trained!)

8/15/13 - She'll for sure be a great helper when your sweet little guy is born; she likes taking care of the dollies. I feel bad about her eating, but I can't do "short order" cooking for her. She picked out bread which was honey biscuits. She used to eat them very well. I have her 4 chick nugs and she only at 2. She told me she was hungry. Maybe if she continues to be hungry she might eat something? What are you doing? (Oh sweet girl - I think you just eat when it's something you like and just deal with it if you don't - I wish you ate more. That battle starts this summer....trying everything on your plate!!! eek!!)

Pointing at the Christmas Tree. Let's just look/point not touch! :)

8/20/13 - I was busy and not really paying attnetion to what Eliana was telling me. You know how you get - you hear but you don't hear! Anyway, she told me "I have to go potty" I usually will jump up and say let's go, because it didn't register, I didn't do that. So she proceeded to go into the bathroom; pull her own pants down, lift the lid and WENT potty! She even washed her hands when I finally figured out what was going on!

8/21/13 - She has been signing a lot of bible songs! amazing they can remember songs.

8/22/13 - Eliana was a little on the onery side after we came back in from playing outside. She was all fun and crazy after you left and then...? -- Think she's tired and hungry. Hope she eats. (she didn't - just the bread) She ALMOST put a couple of peas in her mouth though!

Playing Dress Up

8/23/13 - Eliana is such a beautiful little girl! She'll be a heartbreaker for sure! Your daughter LOVES to sing Yes, Jesus loves me!

8/29/13 - Eliana has a very inectious giggle!

8/30/13 - Eliana decided today would be a good day to be mean to her friends. So we have had a couple of talks today. On a side note, she knows her ABC's VERY VERY well!!

9/5/13 - I can tell you go to church on a regular basis as Eliana loves singing some of the songs and gets upset if we don't all join in! I keep telling them I don't sing; but about that time everybody else starts singing too so it gets me off the hook! lol

9/6/13 - Eliana is a very good listener and follows directions very well for her age! You have a very special little girl - but then again, you already knew that!

9/11 - Poopy accident. Eliana got bit by one of her friends this morning. He got her good too, she will probably have a bruise around it. I think that everyone picked up some orneryness from somewhere! I think that trying different breads on the kids backfired! I had homemade italian bread from the bakery, lol, I couldn't even get Eliana to try a bite so she could get more frish sticks!

9/13/13 - Eliana is always talking about her brother and that she can't wait to play with him!

9/20/13 - Eliana is such a sweet little girl. She makes me smile. Will miss her on a regular basis and bet she'll be the bestest helper you have for baby brother!

Eliana, you call Sherry's husband - Jimmy Jim. I'm not sure why you call him that. But you sure do love Jimmy Jim!

10/16/13 - It appeared to me everyone misses Eliana! She ought to take a good nap!

10/17/13 - Eliana is such a happy girl! All of her friends have enjoyed her being around again! She had 3 crescent rolls. She had to take a bite of something else before I would give her anymore. She chose a peach.

11/7/13 - Easton: Napped till 8:30, 10:30-11:30. I can tell his poor little belly is bothering him. He's actually laying down in the playpen. He settles down and then starts getting upset. But settles down again. I have a sound machine in which a heartbeat is going. Not sure what he seems to think of it. He does like my microwave and the dishwasher! I put him in front of it after you left in his car seat. I'll probably try and give him a bottle around 1:00.

11/8/13 - Easton did very well today. Eliana: I can tell her nose is a little "bent" - she gets onery when I am holding Easton. She did have to sit in time out a couple of times. But she was very polite!

11/11/13 - Easton: While he napped I took the kids outside. He was left on my kitchen counter WITH a baby monitor; fan on :) and I went in and checked on him about every 15 minutes. I'm glad he likes my dishwasher.

11/15/13 - Easton: Are you allowing him to sleep on his belly? Are you doing tummy time?

11/18/13 - Easton: He's awake a lot more now!

11/21/13 - Eliana is an awesome helper with her brother! She has a heart of gold!

St Patty's day food. and Pajama day. I love your face Eliana...not that you probalby ate any of it...

12/2/13 - Easton: We have had a really rough morning this morning. Has he been fussy last couple of days?

12/3/13 - Eliana is such a sweet little girl, I just love her random hugs! Very polite.

12/4/13 - Easton: You know - if I had such good babies as Easton I wouldn't mind taking on another one after Easton turned 12 months...but...
Eliana: She is such a sweetheart. She played so nice today with her friends.

12/10/13 - Easton: At this writing he is still sleeping. He stayed up until about 10:30 from the time you dropped him off. He is such a perfect little baby boy. His smiles and cooing are melting me!
Eliana: Eliana is such a sweetie. She said please and thank you and excuse me and I'm sorry like those were the only words in her vocab today! Just to let you know, she is still very polite everyday. Some day I just notice more!

12/12/13 - Easton: Blow out. I don't have any outifits that have legs on them. I have a onsie t-shirt (no legs). You might want to bring me some outfits for him. He was kind of crabby today. I think after that blow out seemed a bit better.

12/13/13 - Easton likes looking at himself in my playroom's mirror! He had a major blow out about the time your hubby came by and dropped off some clothes. It didn't go through but hopefully that's why he's been so crabby! After his poos which was about 9:30, he was cooing, happy, smiling.

More Dress Up fun!

12/18/13 - Easton: I think if he wakes up I"ll see if he's hungry - I may go ahead and feed him if that's okay. Since you won't be here until closer to 5. I can usually hold him off until 4, but anything past that gets a little rocky!
Eliana: Eliana is such a patient little girl. She waits her turn; she is so kind to Andrew.

12/19/13 - Eliana: I guess she no longer likes my honey biscuits! She won't eat them! Eliana is so sweet, she is so helpful. She is very good about picking up and helping others to remember their jobs too! I think Eliana's favorite son is Yes, Jesus Loves me!

1/6/14 - You have one smart little girl!

1/7/14 - Little mister didn't like being put down today. Stinker! He wasn't very happy with me a couple of times. Has he done the same thing - eating at 8 and then nothing until later in the day? What has his sleeping habit been?
Eliana: She is such a little darling! Love her like crazy!

Playing with "food"

1/8/14 - Eliana: You have a very very polite little girl.

1/10/14 - Easton: I think it will take a little time for him to realize he can't "snack" here. lol
Eliana: She is a great big sister.

1/13/14 - Eliana is such a sweetie. She gave me lots of kisses and hugs today, which was fine with me!

1/14/14 - Eliana: I think Eliana is the most precious little girl I have ever had. She is so sweet. She'll go and help one of her friends if they are having trouble doing something. I get hugs and kisses randomly from her. Makes my day for sure!

1/15/14 - Easton: This will be interesting. Easton woke up about the time I needed to serve lunch! Was not fun! He's not very patient is he!

1/21/14 - Easton: Easton does NOT like to be put down does he! He sure is playing a lot more - reaching for toys on the bouncer
Eliana: She basically ate two pancake on a sticks! (course WITHOUT the sausage, but never the less!) Eliana and Andrew get along sssooooo well! I don't have to turn the t.v. on most times they are together to "calm" them down!

1/22/14 - Eliana actually tried the cheeseburger macaroni!

1/24/14 - Eliana: I have to giggle at her "innocent-guilty" face - it's hard to not laugh when she does something she's not suppose to. She is so polite!

Pajama day! Actually - this was POLAR EXPRESS day! It was so neat - Sherry gave you a "polar express ticket" when you got there that day! It was so neat and fun!

We have been so blessed by daycare providers in our time as parents! First with Jodi now with Sherry! We are so lucky to know you are loved and safe! It makes dropping you kids off in the morning so nice - when Eliana, you can't wait to get to Sherry's and Cheer when I say that's where we're going. And Easton, as soon as Sherry peeks her face into your carseat in the morning - you give the BIGGEST smile! Thankfully I get those smiles too - or else I would be pretty jealous! :)

Another huge perk about Ms Sherry's house is the awesome friends Eliana has made. She talks about her friends nonstop at home and can never wait for the next time to play with them.

Our hearts are full and we are blessed!
love you kiddos!

Everything Easton: 3 months

Easton, On Christmas Eve you turned three months old!
An yes, it's going fast, but I can't believe how much the third month changed you....you went from a newborn to an infant. You no longer just lay there and sleep, eat, and poo. You smile, and talk (and yes, you were smiling and cooing before...but it's different). You try to sit up, you like to be up so you can watch....you like to be a part of things. You changed a lot in this last month!
I'm not sure your personality is really showing yet...I would say if I had to guess...you're going to be a calm kiddo that likes to watch before you jump in. Your cry has recently gone from a crazy loud, instant shrill, to more just a whine. Don't get me wrong...you still cry, and cry loud, especially when you're in your car seat!

Overall, I would say you're happier than not. You have the biggest smile and you share it a lot!

You still prefer to sleep on your belly...but you don't sleep in your pack n play much. We had to get out of the bassinet because your brace fit side to side in there, which was fine before you started moving...now, you like to scrunch your legs up and stretch them out, and you would get stuck and. Angry in your bassinet, so you're in your pack n play. But you still prefer to sleep with your mommy.

Right now you wake up around 6 to eat, then sometimes hang out on the he bathroom floor (
On a mat of course)while I get ready, then SCREAM all the way to sherry's, luckily it's only a short drive!,  then you eat five ounces at about 9, then you nap from 10 to 2, wake up and play, then I come get you at 4:15, when we get home you eat for 45 minutes! In the evening, you nap around 6, eat before then, eat when you wake up, eat at 8:30 then fall asleep for bed at 9. During the night you were waking up at around 12, 3, and 6.

You met Santa clause this month! :)

I have heard a very small chuckle from you...no real laugh yet. You have gotten a lot better at laying on the floor and entertaining yourself. You like to grab your toy on your playmat.

You are still very much in 0 to 3 month clothing. And you are in size two diapers.

When we went to the dr on December 20th you were 13.1 pounds...so you just grew a little last month.

You love blankets and your little sock monkey you got! You chew in everything! Everything! You like to sit up in your bumbo chair.

Lots of smiles. You JUST started really grabbing things that are around you...sometimes I have to encourage you to.

As far as loves and hates
You love: your sister, you follow her with your eyes and just smile, you love your mommy and daddy, you love anything you fan out in your mouth
You hate: your car seat, getting too hot or too cold

As much as you learned and grew this past month, I can't wait to see what you learn this next month!
I love you sweet baby boy!

Sickie household

Oh boy! The germs just keep attacking our house! Before Christmas break we took both you kids to the express clinic to be checked out.

First, Eliana started running a fever over the weekend before our last week before break. Since dr. Nichols is never in on Mondays, we knew we would see the on call doc anyways, so we went ahead and took her in. At that time she was at 101.6 temp, bad cough, and runny nose. She didn't really get a diagnosis, but her lungs did sound a bit raspy, so we started breathing treatments. She was good after about a week. Since then the runny nose is back, but it's clear and not bad...just a nuisance.

Easton, you started coughing that same week, so we took you to express care the Friday before we left town. They said they saw no reason to do an antibiotic and you should be fine. We had you checked out for ease of mind, and for your cousin Ellie's sake. We said okay...but wasn't so sure about it. Since then, your cough got worse, and we watched you closely! But now it seems to be getting better.
Thumb sucker

Daddy snuggling the sick kiddos

Breathing treatment, day one you sat down like this and took your treatment like a champ. Everyday after it was a struggle (and typically a bribe involved) :)

Watching Mickey Mouse...lots of snuggling going on...

Time to breathe.

I've been praying daily for the germs to leave and my kids to be healthy again! Now, your daddy is sick too. He went to express care on Thursday to be checked for strep. Luckily he doesn't have strep...he did get an antibiotic and after sleeping in today he seems to be a little better. But, I'm still praying for all three of you to get better, and praying that I stay healthy!

Love you,
Mommy
