Oh Goodness Me....Here's Baby 3!!

November 5, 2015

Ready family! Some big News! Momma's Pregnant....again. Baby number 3 is coming. As I type this Easton, you are throwing your socks at me....Should be interesting adding another one to the mix! But we can do it!

I am 8 weeks today. So, we knew almost right away...like when I would have been just a little over 3 weeks pregnant. Because I was late. But we didn't really want to spend the money on a pregnancy test, and we figured if we were pregnant at 6 weeks I would have some morning sickness. And just like clock work, week 6 came and I started to get sick in the morning. So, I went to the doctor yesterday, almost 8 weeks and the doctor just couldn't believe it that I hadn't taken a pregnancy test. She called me such a seasoned mom that I didn't need to take one! LOL - really, we just wanted to save money - we figured 3 kids was going to cost a bit more so saving $5 was okay! :)

Symptoms:
Morning Sickness: yes, I have it. Yes, some days are worse than others, but overall by noon I am a bit better. I would say this pregnancy I have less morning sickness and more appetite....which isn't great, because I just know I'm going to gain more weight this pregnancy :(

Food Cravings: Salt!! Chips! I have done so good to avoid chips, and now I want them NOW

Food Aversions: Garlic. I cannot stand the smell of garlic let alone eat it. So weird, I would have never known I would have that aversion.

Siblings: Both your siblings, not that they know we're pregnant, but they want a baby sissy. Easton and Eliana both want another girl, not a boy! lol I'm thinking/hoping I can wait and not find out the sex. I know it's going to be hard, but I would REALLY like to wait and have it be a surprise! :)

November 26
It's Thanksgiving! Little one, we told all of our family today that you're in my belly! Here are the stories:

Telling Eliana: Well, we didn't want to tell Eliana too soon because we worried she would tell people. So, about 11:30 at Aunt Glenna's house we took her to the bathroom and while she went potty we had this conversation:
Mommy: "Eliana, mommy is going to have a baby"
Eliana:  "What? Right now!?"
Mommy: "Well, no, the baby has to grow some more. But there's a baby in mommy's tummy. Do you want to tell everybody?
Eliana: "Uh-huh!"
Mommy: "Okay, you can say, I'm thankful for the baby in Mommy's tummy!"
*So we practiced how she would say it, she was all excited and as we were getting ready to leave the bathroom she yells.
Eliana: Mommy! You don't have a baby in your tummy!! You're just kidding! I'm mad!

So we quickly agreed and said okay, okay, it's okay. :) So much later - after dinner - Eliana decided she was ready to tell everyone. We were split, girls in the kitchen talking, and boys watching football. So she started by telling us girls....very quietly Eliana said "I'm thankful for the baby in mommy's tummy." Grandma turned around and said, Mommy.....? Is it true? Then I had Eliana repeat it so everyone in the kitchen could hear and then everyone got very excited!! Then Eliana went and told the boys.
Which then it came out that Eliana had already told Grandpa. After we got out of the bathroom she went and sat down by grandpa to pout and grandpa said, what's wrong? Eliana: "When we were back there - my mommy said she has a baby in her tummy....but she's just kidding!!"

Then we traveled to Mimi's house and we were having dinner with our family. Papa wasn't there but Grandma-Great was. We were wrapping up dinner and Eliana asked me if she could tell everyone what she's thankful for. I said, sure:
Eliana: Guys, guys. I'm thankful for....
*Conversation paused and everyone looked at her, but didn't really pay attention figuring it was something silly.
Mimi: What are you thankful for?
Eliana: I'm thankful for the baby in mommy's tummy.
**weird pause.....
Mimi and Aunt Jami: WHAT!!???

Everyone was very shocked and surprised!!!

Then Friday, November 27, Papa came over and right when he walked in Eliana told him what she was thankful for! He was also very surprised and excited! :)

We made a few other phone calls to tell people and then it was done. When we got back to school on Monday Eliana told daycare and Miss Megan (Preschool) that mommy had a baby in her tummy....a boy baby and a girl baby. So they both asked Daddy if we were having twins!!! haha - Eliana is pretty dead set we're going to have twins. I'm sure my bloodwork numbers would have been a lot higher if that was the case. But, we have our sonogram in a week so I guess we'll know for sure then.

December 9th
We had our sonogram today. We decided to take Eliana along because she was so convinced that there were two of you in my tummy. She did a great job sitting and watching you on the screen and now she knows, we're only having ONE of you! :) She thought it was really cool to watch you on the screen. :) You are a VERY active baby, in fact your daddy and I think that you are the most active at this point in the pregnancy. We saw all of your little body parts so we're feeling pretty confident that you might not have clubfeet, but we still don't know for sure. Your heartbeat was around 147! :)

I have started to feel little movements, nothing too large. But it's still exciting to feel you. Daddy says I have one major craving this pregnancy and that is PIZZA. Which, is kind of true, I eat pizza about 3 times a week. I do crave it, but I also know it's safe. See, a few nights ago I woke up with intense pain in my chest. I seriously thought I was having a heart attack. I think it was indigestion. I was awake for a couple of hours trying to get it to stop - I finally got in the shower, got sick, and felt better. Since then I have had it a few more times. None quite as severe, but still painful. I have linked it to whenever I eat meat for dinner...any meat. So, I'm not sure why it's happening, but I can pretty much say you're not the biggest fan of meat. (update: I have since gone to my dr and asked her about these pains, she thinks it's gas pains, but I don't know).

January 7
Went to the dr again today. All was fine. I gained some weight this past month, probably mostly from Christmas break eating! :) haha! But my doctor is glad I'm gaining weight! LOL. We didn't get to see you this month, but my doctor seems happy with everything. She is sending us to Wichita to have our 20 week sonogram just to be sure you don't have clubfeet or another birth defect. I'm not too worried, I can feel you kicking and moving even more lately! :)

Symptoms: Earlier in the pregnancy I mentioned that my morning sickness wasn't TOO bad. I spoke too soon! I had about 2 weeks of feeling great, around week 13. Then it all went down hill. I would say this morning sickness/all day sickness has been the worst of the 3. And yes, I'm still getting sick at almost 20 weeks. Cravings, well, it was salt and chips so everyone got me a bag of doritos for Christmas and I can barely eat them anymore....sweets don't sit well with me either. Meat, I can eat it once, but usually not leftovers and I'm lucky if I can eat it when we make it. But I LOVE fruit and vegetables!! I crave those all the time. So I guess you're going to be a healthy little one!

Eliana and Easton are both very excited for you and both tell everyone that mommy has a baby in her tummy. Easton knows exactly where you are when we ask him where the baby is! :) It is so cute!
Eliana of course has noticed my belly growing, she saw some of my marks from the previous pregnancies and called them my stripes. This conversation is what happened:
Eliana: Mommy, why do you have stripes on your belly?
Me: Well, these ones are from you and these ones are from when Easton was in my belly.
Eliana: Oh!! I hope the new baby gets stripes too!!

Oh, sweet baby in my belly, I hope you don't add any stripes to my belly! ;) But if you do, it's okay they are just reminders of each one of my little blessing children! :)

We also announced you to the world by putting it on facebook this month. I was no longer able to hide my ever growing belly so it was time! :)

We love you sweet baby!
