Everything Eliana 5 Months

Well, you are 5 months old! I have been avoiding writing this post because SO much has changed, and you have done SO many firsts, I just know I'm going to forget something! And, it means you're growing up!
You are so much fun at this stage! You can see us when we walk into the room and you just light up! We love your little smile! :)

Lets see, we do not know exactly how much you weigh, but I would guess 15 1/2 pounds! And we know you grew because you can touch the floor and jump in your jumperoo! Which you LOVE to play in! :)
You are wearing size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothing!
You still talk, talk, talk! You just love to talk! :)
You are now rolling!! Rolling!! ROLLING!! You roll ALL over the place! Currently you can't figure out how to get back from where you came from, but you're slowly figuring it out. Right now you roll in one direction until you hit a wall and then we flip you and you roll until you hit another wall....and then we flip you...and it continues! :)

You wore your swim suit for the first time this month! You didn't really care for the water park - but you enjoyed swimming later in the month! :)

You are sleeping....well...we don't ever know how you will sleep. Every night is different. BUT you are kinda going to bed around 10:00. Then if you wake up in the middle of the night to eat it is usually around 3:00. Sometimes you wake up in the night just fo your pacifier - that is usually around 2 and 4. Then you wake up around 6 to eat. Then you want to play a little bit. SOMETIMES I am able to lay you back in your bed and you will sleep until 8, but most the time I hold you in my arms and you fall back asleep until 9. School is going to start back up soon and then we'll have to start a whole new schedule!! Waking up SUPER early! ugh!!
You are napping every morning around 11, for an hour. And then in the afternoon around 2 -4:30 or 5. You usually wake up at least once during your afternoon nap to eat. And then you tend to take a half hour evening nap.
After camp we moved you to your own room in your crib. Your pack n' play in our room was just getting too small. You are doing Great in your room and so is mommy! Mommy and Daddy have stayed in the guest room. We will probably make it our room so we're right there next to you! But I'm very pleased with how wonderful you transitioned to your own crib!

You recognize yourself in the mirror. Well, we think you think it's another baby - but you talk to your reflection! It is so cute! :)

You suck on your toes now! You will sit in your swing and just suck away on your toes! :)

Your favorite toys are your dancing hippo and your rattle duck. You still LOVE to swing and talk to your fishes! You just recently started playing in your jumperoo a lot too!

But you still love your Bunny when you're in your carseat or going to sleep!

You had your first fourth of July this month! You cried a little during the loud fireworks your daddy, Uncle Matt, and Uncle Andrew put off. But you slept during both city fireworks we went too! You LOVED the colorful fireworks your daddy did!

You're just so adorable! You are still mostly eating breastmilk. But camp kinda helped slowly transition you to formula. Every once in a while you need 2 oz of formula after you eat because you're not full. I am still trying to recover from my days of barely feeding you/pumping during camp.

You attended your first parade! You did very good! It was very hot, very bright, and then you got hungry! But it was too hot to eat under the cover up! So, we went to the shade and you fell asleep. But you slept through the sirens, honks, motorcycles, etc! You're so awesome! :)

You tried cereal for the first time! This was shortly after you turned 4 months. You were NOT a fan. So we waited a few more weeks. Then we tried again. We tried for a week and some nights you would act interested and other nights you were not interested at all. No matter what you very rarely got any in your tummy! Since being home from camp you're doing much better!

You helped me plan camp! You did so amazing at your first camp ever! Mimi came and hung out with you all the time and brought you to the various activities! :) You slept through almost every worship! You loved the band but their loudness put you to sleep! And DJ always would startle you! :) You were definetly a trooper that week and you did awesome! :)

You went to your first wedding reception! Erin and Eric Zuelke got married and you came and partied with us! :)

You're starting to make many faces! You stick out your tongue, you blow bubbles, you do "raspberries"! You just crack us up! :)
You got up on your hands and knees like you were going to crawl the other day. But it was just for a second! I can't wait for you to figure it out -- but at the same time - I have a lot of baby-proofing to do before you become fully mobile!! :)

You are (as always) a beautiful and wonderful girl!! :) I caught your daddy staring at you tonight and I asked him what was wrong - and he said, Just staring at my daughter thinking how lucky I am! :) We are for sure lucky that God picked us to be your parents Eliana! :)

We love you very much!
Mommy! :)
