It's been a while since Christmas and its now time to write about it :)
We started our Christmas break with a snow day!! :) So, Thursday December 20th school was cancelled. You and your daddy headed out in the snow to head to Iola. This was always the plan, since daycare was always going to be closed this day. It took you guys 2 hours to get there!! Because the roads were so bad. We would have had you two stay here....but, your daddy had to work at the Bowlus, and your grandma and grandpa were waiting to play with you :)
While you were in Iola I packed our bags for 2 weeks away! I cleaned the house, and I went to see Jenna A in Lawrence and finished our Christmas shopping! So it was a good thing school was cancelled! :)
I headed to Iola on Thursday evening....Friday we hung out with Auntie M and grandma. We didn't do a lot but hang out....then you and I headed to Wichita for Kylie Covey's wedding! W had a lot of fun. You sat for 15 minutes before the wedding started....then as soon as the father of the bride was giving her away...we had to leave because you started screaming! Luckily the sanctuary had glass walls from the lobby, so I was able to watch while you ran around! :) we had a lot of fun at the wedding and reception....you loved the mashed potato bar! We didn't get home until 12:30 in the morning!!
S, then Saturday we headed to GreatAubt Rhonda's for Higginbotham Christmas! You had lots of fun!
You always get so excited to see your Great Grandpa Jimmie! It makes your mommy and daddy smile to see how happy you are with all of your Great Grandparents! :)
Great Grandpa and all of his Great Grandkids!
Grandpa and the Grandkids! :)
You did so good playing with the cousins....okay, maybe they weren't quite as used to playing with you. Before lunch you guys were all coloring in your own coloring book.....every time you would get close to Dalton he would quickly move. Then you would sit by one of the girls and they would turn their back to you, so I finally asked what was up. The girls polietly told me that everytime you got close you would color in their books!! So I asked Dalton if that's why he kept moving and he nodded his head so seriously! :) Dylan was so patient with you though!! :) We have to remember you are only 1 and all the other kids are kindergarten and above.....so eventually you will all be friends! :)
You were so excited for present time! You got excited for every gift!!
After you opened this Minnie Mouse from Great Grandpa you ran straight to him for him to open it for you!!
YOU LOVE LOVE LOVE this blanket from Great Aunt Rhonda!
You needed it laid out in the middle of the floor - and you needed to lay on it right away!! (Notice your necklace -- Cousin Cindy got you an ADORABLE bag with your name on it! It came stuffed with all sorts of great stuff!)
Your blanket came with a matching pillow - which you love too! You actually laid the pillow down on your blanket and laid on it BEFORE you unwrapped it! It was so funny!
Later on in our Christmas Holiday in Iola we went to see Santa again! This is the 3rd time you saw Santa this year! You must have been really good! :) You acted the same way you acted the other two times we saw Santa. You get SO SO SO excited....you run up to him yelling Santa! You climb up on his lap...and then you sit there. You won't even look at him!! You just look down....Santa talks to you, and I try to get you to smile and talk to him - but no. You just sit there. Then you get down off of Santa's lap and you're fine again. You talk to him and wave bye. It's so funny and cute all at the same time! This particular Santa after you got down you received a free gift. He gave you a Mickey Mouse Puzzle! Then, you ran back to Santa to show him what he got and interrupted another little girl who was visiting with Santa!!
You were so cute at Great Great Aunt Jo's house! Great Great Aunt Jo is almost 103 years old! She was still able to play with you some, and give you lots of candy. That is Great Great Aunt Jo behind you...we didn't get any good photos of the two of you.
You really liked this McDonald's coffee mug she had!
We also had to see Miles while we were in town! Mr. Miles is gettnig so big! The two of you loved playing with Sydni! Lucky for us Miles comes to visit Kansas often! Otherwise we would have to make more trips to Texas to see him!!
By Christmas Eve we were all so worn out!!! We enjoyed a peaceful day at home getting ready for Christmas Eve Evening and finishing last minute things for Christmas.
Here you are at the Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve. We went to church in Chanute at Uncle G's mom's church!
Santa Family!!
Our entire family!
CHRISTMAS MORNING!!! You were so excited! You must have felt the excitement in the air! Uncle Grant and Aunt Melisa stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's too so we were all there in the morning!!
You were a hoot! You would jump up and down and scream for all your gifts!! You loved everything! It was so much fun to watch it! :) Here you are getting so excited over your new bag of Penquins that you got in your stocking!!
You were REALLY excited for your new Lady Bug Chair from Auntie M and Uncle G!
So Happy!!
You are such a happy/proud baby sitting in your new chair with your new Minnie Mouse!!
You were so blessed by your Higginbotham family at Christmas. You are so loved and cherished and they always show this to you. You are a very lucky little lady to have all these people who love you. And even though love is enough...they also blessed you with so many gifts! :) Here you are sitting in your new chair! With your new Minnie Mouse from Great Grandpa, and your new Minnie Mouse from Auntie M and Uncle G, and your new Baby Jenna from the Garcias. That's right, they got you a baby named Jenna! (Jenna is your mom's name!) :) And you LOVE that new baby! :)
After gifts and after biscuits and gravy (Christmas Tradition) and after some time playing. Mommy and Daddy started to pack our bags. By 11:30 you were tired and ready for a nap...so we hit the road and began our trip 2 1/2 hours to Buhler to see your Reeves Family....
Merry Christmas Baby!! I love you! :)
