Everything Easton: 15 months

Oh Easton, you are GROWING!! I officially don't feel like I have a baby anymore :( :( You are quite the character! And I LOVE watching you learn as you play! Currently as I type this you are investigating gravity! lol - you are standing on your stool and dropping play food from your kitchen.

You have started standing on EVERYTHING! When we're at home you are almost always standing on something. You carry your step stools around the house with you. Your daddy loves it when you put the stool down in the middle of the room and climb up and just "survey your land" Your daddy likes to say "Look at all my land...all of this is mine." in a weird voice speaking for you! :)

Easton you are such a lover! You love your cousins so much. I know you love Elijah and would hug him if he would let you! lol. You get so excited when you see Rebekkah and Ellie. For Rebekkah you yell "Ke-Kah! Ke-Kah!" Rebekkah gets so excited to see you too. She always says she's going to teach you all sorts of things! :)

Are you not the most handsome boy in the whole wide world? You still love everything to do with sports. Uncle Glenn got you your first football for Christmas!

You have such a sweet smile. You truly are a sweet boy. You are a little ornery and it's usually just because you want to rough house play or you want to play with EXACTLY what Eliana is playing with - but you really mean well most the time. At daycare they say you are one of the sweetest and that you love to snuggle!

You're such a big kid!! You drug this chair over to sit at the table and play with us!

You LOVE your sister! And you LOVE to play with her. She doesn't always enjoy playing with you because you don't know the meaning of personal space. And your idea of playing is different than hers -but you LOVE it. My prayer is that you two will always be great friends.

You love your hats. If you see one of your hats you ask us to put it on your head right away! There's many times we will go to pick you up from daycare and you've been running around with your hat on for a while.

Easton you LOVE socks and shoes. "ocks, ocks, sh, sh" you walk around saying that and pointing at your feet. When I put these socks on your hands to use at mittens you got SOOOOO excited! :)

You still sleep on your belly. You like to move around a lot in your sleep too. You pretty much start bed time routine at 7:15. By the time we get your jammies on and brace on, bottle made, said our goodnights - which you are so cute you will walk around and say "nigh-nigh" to everyone and give kisses! We are in the bedroom by 7:30. I hold you while you drink your bottle then you curl up and fall asleep. Then I lay you in your bed. You usually wake up around 10:30, sometimes we get lucky and it's 12 or 12:30. Then you usually move to our bed and sleep between daddy and I. You lately (knock on wood) have just been sleeping through the night once you get in our bed. You flip flop around a little, and cry here and there but it's nothing like what it was for a while. Then you usually wake up around 5:30 or 6 and we take your brace off so you'll fall back asleep for a little bit more. Then you're usually up around 6:45. As soon as you wake up you ask for more, please, and point to the cupboard with the poptarts in it!!

We have started time-outs with you. We started shortly after you turned 1....they weren't too successful, but we thought it was good - you didn't go to too many. You still don't go to very many. At the end of Christmas Break you were going every day for hitting your sister or us. but luckily that has seemed to slow down. We typically have to sit right there beside you to keep you in your spot. We've had a couple of time-outs where you have actually sat and not moved, otherwise you tend to flail around or get up. But you'll learn. It's funny - you go to time outs for different things than Eliana did at this age. Because you have another kiddo here (your sister) to fight with. Where as Eliana mostly went for not listening, touching the t.v. or xbox, little things like that.

Easton you LOVE baby dolls! You love to cook in the kitchen too. You're going to make a great hubby and daddy someday!! I love watching you "sh, sh, sh" your baby as you pat baby on the back and bounce him/her. It is so sweet! When you play in the kitchen it's more banging pans around! lol - but you will bring me food and "feed" it to me too!!
You just started this cute thing - when you want a drink from one of our cups you act like you're blowing out a candle over and over. It's so cute - I think it's because when you drink you kind of suck up the drink and it makes the same sound! :)

OH MY GOODNESS! This picture is adorable and makes me smile! You really know how to "CHEESE" it up for the camera!

Some of my favorite moments are when you sleep and snuggle with me. This is something you still really like to do!

You are slightly obsessed with necklaces and bracelets too! LOL

You are good about making sure things go back to where they belong. If there is trash on the floor you put it in the trashcan. You pulled things out of a drawer once, started to leave, turned around and put it all back in the drawer. If you start to pick up you can't move on until EVERY piece is back where it belongs! :) Except for the kitchen food. If I clean up the kitchen area and you go over there you immediately dump out your play kitchen drawers. Almost every day RIGHT as we're headed out the door to daycare you grab the drawers in your little kitchen and dump them all over the floor. You're such a sinker!

That tongue. You almost ALWAYS have your tongue out! It is truly cute. I love it. I'm going to be sad when you stop doing it, because it's one small thing that kind of keeps you a baby.

You love to eat! You eat most anything. You love to grab an entire cheeseburger and eat it - you're not a fan if we cut it up! You are starting to really like PB&J like sister - I try not to give you too many - because I don't want you to become a picky eater like Eliana. So, we try to make sure you eat lots of options....

At the Lady Braves Basketball game. You wanted SO badly to get out on the court and play with them. We ended up having to leave early because you just couldn't understand why you couldn't be out there. Plus it was your bedtime... :)

Little boy you are growing like crazy! You have so many words you are saying, mama, dada, nana, grandpa, bottle, nigh-nigh, mimi, water, more, please (you sign those 3 but also say them), and you mimic our syllable sounds so I know you're going to continue to grow your vocabulary. You also say, Poopy. lol - This is how our conversation goes:
Mommy: Easton, are you poopy?
Easton: Poopy! Poopy!
Mommy: Should I change your diaper?
Easton: No! No!

We have so much fun learning and playing all together. I am sad you're growing so quickly - but excited to watch you continue to learn!

I love you sweet boy!
