First Dance Recital!!

We survived your very first dance recital! Mommy was not a dance growing up so I was not sure what all went in to a recital week - wowzers! It wasn't too bad at first, we had rehersals, and lighting times. Then since you were in the Willy Wonka company number - we had to run it as well. This rehearsal went until 10:30 Thursday night!!! You were quite the trooper though, going on and doing your dance, despite being exhausted!! I promised if you did all of your dances you could have a popsicle when we got home, so at 10:45 at night you had a popsicle! :)

So then Friday came, it was recital night #1! You did a great job! You overall were well behaved in the dressing room....granted I bribed you with candy then entire time. Saturday night you did okay as well. But it was a little more stressful to keep your outfit clean and your make up on!!! You did a great job sitting still while I did your make up and hair! You really like to have it done! Then, keeping your make up from smudging is the challenge....plus I basically had to give in to every thing you wanted so you wouldn't cry and ruin your make up!! The week after dance recital we had a detox, where you went to time out a lot for fits because I wasn't giving you everything you wanted anymore!! :) :)

You ABSOLUTELY LOVED performing!! You really loved dancing and getting to know the "big girls" as you called them. You loved being on stage and performing!! Mommy was so proud of how well you did!

The Oompa Loompas during bows - you're the shortest one in the middle.
You had three small parts during Willy Wonka -- but it was worth it to us to have you perform and be apart of something so awesome!

My Pretty Little Oompa Loompa!

Zoie was a senior this year - she has been dancing since she was your age. You LOVE Zoie! She gave you some pretty bows as a break-a-leg the first night! I pray that you have as much drive and determination as Zoie did growing up. She is an amazing dancer. Even if your passion isn't dance, I hope you have the drive to be amazing at your passion.

Performance Night 1!

Mimi, Jami, and Bekkah came to night one!

All your break-a-legs on Night 2! You are well loved! :)

On the stage....in your element!

We're ready for dance year #2....we'll see where it takes you!
love you sweet girl,

A little bit of Summer

Here's a little bit of summer so far. We've been enjoying time at home, playing outside and doing whatever fun we want to do!
Early morning fun outside on the Farm - we LOVE living in the country!

The pool is one of our favorite things to do!

We love it when Mimi and our cousins come to visit!

Some sprinkler fun and outside time!

We also stayed busy with extra curricular activities for Eliana! We went down to Yates Center for tumbling fun. This particular morning, we went and met Bailey down there -- to find out Ms. Megan is sick and so there was no class. Instead we went to the park!

We also love every chance we get to play with Ellie!! Easton and Ellie love each other!

Papa came to visit just briefly before dance class one night.

After dance class we went down town to the square for the ice cream social.

Choo Choo fun in the garage

See these fun boxes that we get to play in!!? You two loved popping in and out of the boxes to play peek-a-boo.....then just seconds after I took this picture....Easton fell backwards in his box and hit his head on the cement floor......so no more box fun after that :)

Love sibling snuggles!

Coloring at Library Story Time!!!!

I love this picture of Easton and Auntie M!!

Reading with Grandpa.

Visiting Grandma Great. She moved in to the nursing home at the beginning of summer. It was supposed to be until she got stronger, but she is doing very well there, so she's staying.

Look at that handsome working boy! :)

YEP -- this is how you all sleep in mommy and daddy's bed. You guys sleep with us and hog the bed!

My little sun bathin' baby!

Watching the gorgeous sunset. We are LOVING living in the country enjoying God's wonders!

Summer is SOOOO much fun - I'm thankful for the most wonderful job ever so I can spend my summers with you kids!

Love you,
Mommy
