It's funny, I shared the below picture on facebook today. But I wrote a little caption about how I'm thankful the only challenge God gave us was your clubfeet. I know, I know, my last post sounded a bit different....but I am. I know so many kiddos who have it SO much harder! They will never lead a normal life, but you Easton, you will! In fact, you live a normal life right now, minus you wear a brace at night. At the age of five all of this will be history do us. I know it's a big deal to us, and it's a big deal to our family....but in the grand scheme of things....clubfoot is really not that big of a deal. I know you can have relapses, and I've read where some adults who had clubfeet have sore feet as adults (but you're probably doomed with that - because due to my flat feet I have incredibly sore feet some mornings - to the point I can't walk). But all in all, if God was going to give you a disability, Clubfoot would be the one to get.....

So, an update. We went to the Doctor April 27th. She said you were looking great! So, that was a HUGE sigh of relief, since at that time you weren't sleeping with it on hardly every because you HATED it! She gave us a prescription for an alternate brace, but your daddy thought you would hate that one more....so we didn't get it. We did go to the Hangar Clinic and they made some adjustments to soften it and added some padding. This seems to have helped, because you're sleeping so much better. It's been great. There's even been quite a few nights you make it all the way until 6:00 with your brace on!!
So, all in all, the treatment is still working, and you're still doing great! Dr. Jarka even said you would probably be done with the brace at age 4! Which means, since you're almost 2 :(, that we're half way done! Though I really don't want to rush time!!
I love you my sweet boy! Keep on sleeping!!!
LOVE, Mommy
