6/9: When Eliana demands something, instead of asking for something John Higginbotham started to say "Well, I want a million dollars" So our conversation went like this today:
Eliana: I want a granola bar
Me: Well, I want a million dollars
Eliana: MOOOOM! I'll give you a million dollars if you get me a granola bar!
Me: hahaha - where are you going to get a million dollars??
Eliana: hmmm....I'll buy some cookies (she means sell - she used the wrong verb)
Me: You're going to make and sell cookies to get me a million dollars!!?? Deal! I'll get your granola bar. :
6/16: Easton was crying on our way home from tumbling class today. Eliana and I tried everything to make him happy. Then Eliana says, "I know buddy, life is hard sometimes."
I laughed so hard, and Easton calmed down, apparently he just needed to feel as if someone understood him :)
6/22: "Mommy, wouldn't it be cool if we built a new house beside our other new house? We could build it out of brick like the pigs...and I can show everyone my new house and we'll be nice and warm and comfy. Does that sound good mom?"
6/29:
Playing Super Dora in the car (imaginary game we play)
me: hello, super Dora? We need help! E: what's wrong? Me: my puppy is lost! E: where is he? Me: I don't know! If I knew I wouldn't be calling you! Lol - she has a great imagination. She then proceeded to tell me to say I lost my puppy in the forest, but of course! :D |
Me: I'll be here. I'm always here.
Eliana: Oh good! My heart would so break if you went away.
Me: oh, I won't go away, you're stuck with me! :)
Eliana: Good, because I don't want my heart to break forever!!
Oh, my sweet Eliana.
8/16: Eliana: mommy, maybe God will send us a puppy! I think He will, He loves me and wants me to have a puppy.
My thoughts: oh great! If we don't get a puppy she's going to think God doesn't love her!
Me: Eliana, God already brought you lots of puppies! You have Charlie, Murphey, maverick, Maggie, and Moonpie! Lots of puppies already need your love!
E: oh! You're right, I forgot!
8/30: Eliana ate a meatball and a strawberry today (yes, a, meaning only 1 of each)! At the same meal time! That's huge! Red meat, fruit, vegetables, and most foods are not in her preferred diet (started as a texture thing).... we're taking small steps towards more food!
9/4: Eliana is on cloud nine! A sweet old man gave her a dollar at walmart, said God bless you child, buy some candy. :)
Now she's trying to decide if she wants to buy a donut tomorrow or go to Russell Stovers and buy some candy :) too bad all life decisions weren't like this :)
Oh Eliana, you're quite the funny girl lately!! I LOVE YOU!
Mommy
