December Fun

This year we did our advent activity calendar again, like last year. However, I was not nearly as good about documenting what we did each night. But, we did something every night - whether it was make cookies, go to grandma's, or watch a Christmas movie -- that paper showed up in the Christmas Tree Calendar every day! And every day it was exciting and Eliana couldn't wait for it to show up! So, here are some pictures from a few of our activities!

This is Mimi's tree - but I didn't get any pictures of you guys in front of our tree. However, every day you guys liked to play magic and turn on our tree. You would stand in front of it and hold hands, then you would say "I wish, I wish, the tree would turn on." Then you would blow at it and the lights would magically turn on!!

Decorating the tree! You guys really got in to it this year!

Making cookies! Of course we had to do that because you both love to bake with mommy!

Eliana, your writing has gotten so good! You wrote Merry Christmas, I spelled it for you!

On December 3rd, Santa came to town like last year! This is one of our favorite days!

We do a candy cane hunt too - you guys did much better than last year when you only got 1 candy cane!

Santa was coming in on the fire truck!!! There he is!! We were smart this year and got there early so we could get in line. I stood in line while you guys did the candy cane hunt with Daddy - this way we were pretty close to the front. The line gets CRAZY long, really fast!

However, none of you were thrilled to see Santa...

Eliana you told Santa you wanted clothes for Christmas! :) (you wrote Santa a letter the next day to tell him you changed your mind). Easton, you wanted nothing to do with Santa.

A favorite part is riding the choo-choo!

Easton and Tay-Tay did not want to get off when the ride was over!!

Fun times on the Trolley! It was a fun filled SANTA coming to town day!!

Another day we went over to Grandpa's house and Easton, you pulled out your tools to help Grandpa!

Breakfast with Santa was so much fun! I was so glad we could go this year! You guys enjoyed your pancakes and then took the best pictures with Santa! Easton, you weren't going to sit on his lap - but when Santa pulled out a gift for you, you were ALL over that idea!! And look at that adorable picture!

Princess Tea - daddy's work did a fundraiser and had a princess tea party. Eliana, you ended up NEEDING a nap this day - so we just went to the party for the last hour, but it worked out perfect!

We practiced SO many Wednesday nights for the church program. You were a little angel. You did a pretty good job but the songs were hard to learn.

You did AWESOME at your Preschool Christmas program though!! I was so proud of you! I took the day off so I could go watch. Aunt Jami was lucky enough to be in town too and come watch you. And there's a picture of you and your teacher Ms. Megan! You love her so!

Your best friend Hayden and you have so much fun! And of course you loved that Santa came to your program!

One night we had our dance nursing home recital. Grandma Great finally got to watch you dance since we went to her home to perform. This was on a school night, and it was a bit stressful getting you ready in time. But we did it. However, as daddy and I were loading you and Easton in the car to head out, I thought, gee it's a bit cold. So I ran inside to grab you another pair of black tights, because the pair I had put on you had a design with little flowery holes in them. Well, at our first nursing home the parking lot was PACKED...it was awful! We made it on time but then it took us 10 minutes to park!!! So, you, Easton, and I were running inside (daddy had to work), and you did not see a curb and went completely flat!!!! You poor thing!! But you pulled it together QUICKLY since I couldn't carry you and Easton. We got inside so I could see the damage and you had skinned up hands, a bloody lip, skinned knees right where you had a giant hole in your tights!!! You were so brave and we quickly put your second pair of tights over the first pair and you were good to go!! And you danced SOOO good!

We got to go to Santa's Toy Shop one day. Eliana picked out a new barbie dress-up dress and Easton picked out a soccer ball!!

Santa was in a parade that we went to go watch. It was SOOOO cold!!
Mimi came to visit one weekend and we had so much fun with her!!

We also got to see and hang out with our friends the Ericksons. It was Ellarie's birthday so we went to the T-Rex Cafe!!

Scary Dinosaurs!!!

All tuckered out from our long month of adventures!! It sure was fun, and we did many more activities at home and out and about that I didn't document this year. We mailed Santa letters, made lots of cookies, had picnics, and danced to Christmas music!!
I love sharing the holidays with you two!
Love,
Mommy
