Everything Emersyn: 6 months

Wow! Sweet girl you are 6 months already!! How can that possibly be? I know life with 3 kids is a lot more overwhelming than life with 2. Luckily you are such a good baby!! You are so easy going and happy you can go anywhere with your siblings and be fine!

Everyone at daycare just LOVES you!! :) You get lots of love and snuggles there!

You still sleep in your rock n' play - it is a MIRACLE worker! Either that or you are just an amazing sleeper, which it's about time we had a kiddo like that!! But you sleep about 4 hours at a time, then wake up to nurse, and immediately go back to sleep in your rock n' play!

You are officially into your 6 month clothing. You are in size 3 diapers....You cannot keep socks on your feet!! I keep buying different styles to see if they help.

You eat 4-6 ounces of breast milk bottles at daycare. You nurse about every 3 hours in the evening.

Breastfeeding Update: (adding this paragraph at the beginning of January) --- At the beginning of December I started to bleed while pumping your bottles. I thought maybe I needed different size pump parts, so I ordered different sizes and it worked a little better - but my milk supply went way down and nursing you started to hurt. I kept with it and persevered through until New Year's Eve. I seriously had to pop you off while nursing because it hurt SO badly! I was avoiding feeding you and stretching out your nursing sessions because it hurt. So, we looked a little closer and I had some major problems. I also noticed you had white stuff in your mouth, which made me think thrush. Sure enough, we went to the doctor that day and we had thrush. So she gave me a medicine, an ointment, and you a medicine. We used it and continued to nurse. You got better, I got better, it was all good. Then middle of January we got thrush again, I tried to keep going, we got the medication again - but we just weren't healing as quickly.....and ultimately at the end of January your dad and I decided it was best for all of us if we stopped nursing and switched to formula. I felt bad that you only got 7 months of breastmilk - but ultimately it was the best decision, we were all happier and felt better.

You started to roll at 4 months and started army crawling by 5 months!! I can't believe it!!! Now you're in a full crawl for anything you want to get!! I just can't believe it! You are trying so hard to keep up with your brother and sister that you had to be on the go early!

You are still in size 3 diapers....but you have to have Pampers and you have to use pampers sensitive wipes or you get a horrible diaper rash!!

You are absolutely adorable and love your brother and sister!! :)
