Ear Infection #3

Oh sweet girl you have your THIRD ear infection - and it's a 3-way ear infection!
I could tell something was off last Friday through Sunday. We were in Buhler playing  a lot in the sun - so I thought maybe that was it.
By Tuesday you were worse.....Wednesday night you did not sleep well.....Thursday night you did not sleep AT ALL! I mean, you would sleep a half hour here, half hour there, but the majority of the night you were screaming or watching Mickey Mouse. Your daddy finally asked if he could go take a nap before work at 6 am! :) (Of course I told him he could go to bed a long time before that but he stayed up to be supportive!)
So Thursday morning I called the doctor. We went and saw him that afternoon....you had had nothing to eat since Wednesday evening - you refused to eat anything, all you wanted to do was sit in my lap and rest your head.
Well, your left ear was so swollen and red he couldn't even see in it to see if you had an ear infection inside. - So he said it was a severe double ear infection in your left ear and a single ear infection in your right ear! Poor baby!
So we got you a prescription (3 prescriptions!) and you are feeling better....ish. You still have your moments of fussiness like you're not feeling well - but you're doing pretty good! :) You take one prescription by mouth and the other two are eardrops. One for both ears and one for just your left ear. You are too funny! You know when we're going to do your eardrops and you tilt your head for us to have access to your left ear! You are amazing at taking meds!!! :)

No pictures today. I just wanted to do a quick update before bed! I have a lot more to write about though:
Going to Mimi and Papa's for an extended weekend over Memorial Day
Jenna's Bachelorette Party/Mommy's sunburn! (ouch!)
Your weekend with Grandma and Grandpa
Mommy's new job! :)
Finding a new sitter/Saying goodbye to Jodi :(

All of that coming soon!
Love you Sweetie!
Mommy

  1. Get well Eliana! Parker had so many ear infections when he was a baby that we had tubes put in his ears. They were a life-saver and he's only had 2 ear infections since then {over 3 years ago}. Wishing Eliana to get better soon and praying that you find a sitter that you love as much as your current one!!
