Life and Times of J&J: Fourth of July 2013!

Happy Fourth of July!! Oh what a week it has been in our house! Tuesday we went to work on Camp with Bud and David, then when we got home you fell asleep and mommy didn't have lots of energy so I decided to nap too. When I woke up I felt SO congested...I thought maybe it was allergies...but as the night progressed I got worse and when your daddy got home from working at the golf course he said that it sounded more like a head cold. Well, daddy was right, when I woke up on Wednesday I could barely stay upright without feeling sick. So, daddy went in to work late so I could sleep in. I got up around 10:30 and you went down for a nap at 12:15 and I went back to bed. Your daddy came home early and I slept from 2:00 until about 8:00 pm. You and daddy just played and played :) then at 8:00 I ate something small, then back to sleep it was. :) So, I ended up pretty much sleeping from 2:00 till 9:30 the next morning! Luckily, on Thursday, I woke up feeling better! Still not great...I'm still congested, but I'm able to function! I'm so thankful for your daddy - so I could rest! :)

So, Thursday we celebrated the fourth of July! The Scotts came over and we swam and cooked out! You and Kinsley had lots of fun! :)

You did wake up on Thursday feeling a bit warm...but you were acting normal so we weren't too concerned. Then, Thursday night you woke up with a 102 fever! Friday, you seemed okay...a little more snuggly than normal and a little warm but nothing too bad. You are a lot like your mommy...when you're sick you need to sleep! So, Friday I let you sleep in until 11:00! You have never slept in that late! Then, when you woke up from your nap you were on fire again! Back at 102....your daddy got home just in time for you to throw up all over him ;) Glad he was home. I gave you a bath and you zonked out again....you looked SO pale and miserable...you really had your mommy and daddy worried...but when you woke up tonight after your second nap you were fine. You even ate some macaroni (even though I told your daddy not to make it cuz I didn't think you would eat it - but you did). So, it has been quite the crazy/sick time in our house since Tuesday! I hope you continue to feel good and I hope your daddy doesn't catch any of our sick bugs :)

You were SO excited for the fireworks....you didn't know what you were headed out to see but you were excited to go!

Then the fireworks started....and you weren't too sure about them. This was the first year you were scared....but I eventually convinced you that they were pretty and sparkly...and when they were done you kept asking for more :)

You had lots of fun and you stayed awake the entire time! :) It was a really good fourth! I can't wait until next year to share it with your baby brother! :)
