This was our First Christmas morning in our own house! I was so excited! This also meant that Santa had to come to our house....and it is also the first year you kiddos have received presents from mommy and daddy. We kept it simple and it was a lot of fun!
Eliana, this is the letter you wrote to Santa from you and Easton. "Dear Santa, Thank you for my presents. Enjoy your cookies. Tell Frosty Hi. I want half your cookies. Love, Eliana and Easton"
We had been storing your presents in the trunk of our car. That seemed as safe as any place! I wrapped all the presents the Tuesday before Christmas. You two went to daycare and I wrapped gifts...all day (because it wasn't just yours I had to wrap all of the presents). So, then you kids got home before I got all of the presents back in the trunk, so Eliana wanted to help me move them. She kept checking each one to see if any of them were for her. Eliana, it's not good you can recognize your name now - because sure enough you found a package with your name! Luckily I convinced you to save it for later! :)
So, we pulled out your new art easel from the trunk and I went to set it up....but it had to be assembled!!! So, here's your awesome daddy on Christmas Eve putting together your art easel!
Easton woke up first Christmas morning. Easton, you were soaking wet so I had to immediately change you. Here you are mid change finding the cookie that Santa left for you and Eliana. You proceeded to eat it all gone before sister ever woke up!! :) The picture of you in your jammies is just beyond precious!! I love it! :)
Sister, Sister! It's Christmas morning, time to wake up!!
Opening presents! SO much fun! I was so excited to have you guys open presents from us! :)
You guys playing with your new toys! Eliana you got some new frozen books, a cupcake designing toy, and a new cabbage patch doll! I have been looking for the perfect cabbage patch doll for you since your first Christmas. I finally found a great one this year....and you have barely played with her....your much more interested in other things. Hopefully you'll soon love her like I loved my cabbage patch doll...but if not that's okay too! :)
Easton, you got a doctor musical car kit, some Thomas the Train books, and some puzzles. You were more interested in Eliana's new doll, and the boxes!
lol - so as excited as I was to get you guys presents you were both interested in other things! :) haha
I absolutely LOVE how our stockings turned out this year! Such a pretty display!
After we played for a little bit with our toys we headed over to Grandma and grandpa's house to celebrate Christmas there.
Mommy and Eliana excited to open presents!!
Silly Easton. You had no interest in opening presents at all - you were more content to play in the kitchen!
Eliana, for WEEKS you have been saying that you want a purple Carebear and a pink carebear for Christmas. Here you are opening your pink carebear from Grandma. You were very excited. You also received a purple carebear from the Garcias. You were so so happy!
Your daddy had a great idea to get Ellie a box of rocks for Christmas! She LOVES rocks and she loves chewing on rocks. Which she did immediately chew on this rock when she took it out of the box. We also got her a basketball goal....don't worry it wasn't just a rock :)
The kiddos! :)
Poor Easton. Even on Christmas you have to go to timeout sometimes. You kept pushing Ellie and so you had to serve a minute timeout.
Precious little cousins!
And The Family!
I'm bummed I didn't get a picture of Eliana. This is a tradition picture for us, on our way out of town from Iola headed to Buhler I take a picture of the sleeping kids. I only got one of Easton this time. Eliana, I think you stayed awake most of the drive....just TOO excited to see everyone!
We had a great first Christmas at home - and I look forward to many more with many more memories!!
Love you both!
