Everything Easton: 2 months!

Well, I am about two weeks late for your two month post just like I was late for your one month post!
But, I'm sure you're okay with that! :)

Easton, you are such a smiley baby! Most the time you are happy!

We went to the doctor December 4th and you were 12.9 pounds, 58 percentile! and 24.5 inches long, 88 percentile! You are growing like crazy!

You did great for dr Nichols. He was even holding you up and playing with you! :) after that we went to get shots. You did so good...just hung out in the waiting room and then, sat on my lap when it was time for your shots. Eliana was standing next to me...and then two nurses came at you with a shot each! They counted to three and bam! They got you at the same time! Even I was like...whoa! You screamed So So loud! You got another shot...and then I comforted you. You quit crying pretty quickly I was impressed. Especially since you hadn't had any food since 8:30 that morning!

As for your schedule right now...you wake up about 5:45 and eat, then you play or cry while I get ready, you eat 4 or 5 oz at sherry's at 8:30. You fall asleep about 10 and sleep till 2, then you hang out at Sherry's and I pick you up sometime between 4 and 5, which then we rush home and you eat for 45 minutes...because you haven't had any food since 8:30 that morning!!! Then, you snack off and on throughout the evening...you usually take a 45 min nap sometime between 6:30 and 7:30. Then you eat about 8:30 and go to sleep in your bassinet around 9.
There for a while you were only waking up once in the night!! It was awesome! But, it's typically 1:00, 3:00, 5:45.

You are still wearing size one diapers. And you wear size 0 to 3 month clothing.

We have decided you are too smart....remember last month, when I said running water calmed you...yeah not anymore. Everything that used to calm you where we could set you down doesn't work anymore. We think you have learned those things mean we are not going to hold you.

However, the little time you do let us put you down and not hold you, I love watching you watch us. You track really good with your eyes and you will follow us with them.

You coo like crazy! Always cooing..and I am convinced you try to laugh....and your smiles are the best!
You are kind of taking a pacifier. It's like the green pacifier but it has a vanilla scent...I think the vanilla soothes you.

You still don't like to be put down...so you're not playing as much by yourself as you could.

You sleep on your belly....they say not to. But you won't sleep any other way...you turn your head constantly though...so I think you'll be okay. We just pray for you and sister's health every night.

You prefer to sit up. You like to watch the action! You sit up and just watch. Your favorite place is in our recliner! You have excellent head control!
You have also started to do what we call your crunches. You flinch your body and try to sit up and do a mini crunch...it's really not good...because you do it when we lay you down and you kind of start to roll a bit when you do it.

I am very thankful you are not colicky. You HATE your car seat!! The other night we drove to Iola, you SCREAMED for 40 minutes, until you finally exhausted yourself to sleep...wow! I knew you were okay, I pulled over, checked your diaper, tried to feed you...when none of that worked we drove again and just let you cry.... I hope you start to like your car seat again soon....

Sherry...your daycare provider...says you are such an awesome baby! She said you are just so perfect and also beautiful. You obviously do a good job for her since you're only eating once!

You have still only had breastmilk. You struggled for a while with the bottle...but I think we found you one that you like. You still prefer for me to nurse you and not have a bottle.

Easton, you are so fun to have at home! Your sister is absolutely obsessed with you. I mentioned how you hate the car seat. The other morning on the way to daycare Eliana was so quiet...I looked back and she just had this concerned look on her face and she was staring at you. I asked if she was okay. She said...baby brother crying. She was so sad. I hope you two continue to have the love you do now.

I love you sweet baby boy!
