As in years past we headed out to find the perfect christmas tree! It was a beautiful day, the first Sunday after thanksgiving!
We didn't have a lot of luck last year with our normal tree farm in Ottawa, so ewe went to one in Lawrence

Santa ended up being at the tree farm! Eliana you were very excited to see Santa, and you even talked about him and to him the whole time we were shopping for trees....but..
When you get on his lap you get so nervous...

And of course Easton cried :)
Which tree do we like?
We ended up going back to the tree farm in Ottawa. The Lawrence tree farm didn't have anything we liked especially in our price range. Grandpa bought his tree rom Lawrence, the Aikins got theirs from the Ottawa tree farm, and we ended up buying a fake tree from target. So, we will see if we use the fake one next year or if we find a good one. We just like large trees and none of the farms had good, big trees.

My siblings and I would fight over who got to hang the star! Dad would life one of us to do it! I loved it. Even though, you weren't able to actually hang the star, I made you and your dad pose this picture ;)

I should mention that it took me forever to get the tree up. And then even longer to get it decorated... But we got it done! Your daddy worked evenings every night in December, except for five week nights! So we missed him a lot.
Eliana, you were such a big helper this year! I look forward to Easton helping a little next year too!
