We have had such a busy and wonderful October! Lots going on!! We went to Buhler every weekend except for one this past month! That is a lot of traveling, and a lot of traveling without daddy. You kiddos traveled pretty well. I kept well stocked on snacks and just pretty much fed you guys snacks the entire 2.5 hours! I also set up the other DVD screen in front of Easton and we started every drive out with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. That kept you both entertained for at least an hour or an hour and a half, which helped. Typically the last 30 minutes of the drive were pretty terrible! But we survived!
So here's a recap of our October (with a smidge of September and November thrown in).
The first few photos are the last weekend in September. The weather was BEAUTIFUL and daddy had to work on Saturday, so we went to the park to have a little bit of fun in the wonderful weather.

This was fun, because last time we went to this park, Easton you weren't walking - so it was neat to see you enjoy the park this time around! :)
I love the photo on the right. I think it sums up the two of you pretty well! You guys are just so GOOFY! :)
After the park we went home, had naps, dinner, and then we just went and spent time in our yard. Eating popsicles and running through the field. I love relaxing weekends with the two of you! Especially when you're so well behaved, like you were this weekend!
The next weekend was the first weekend in October. We headed to Buhler for the Buhler Frolic. Bekkah was being apart of the colorgaurd in the parade, and we wanted to watch! It was a pirate theme frolic, and we enjoyed the parade and then the fun kiddie area afterwards!
Pirate Eliana!!
Eliana, you and Elijah LOVED the inflatables. I was unsure if you would actually do them, but you did! You LOVED them. You and Elijah would have done these for HOURS!
After the frolic we went to Mimi's house and took our naps. Then when you all woke up we went to the Pumpkin patch outside of Buhler. We didn't actually take a hay ride back to the pumpkin field, we weren't able to ride the train, because it was too dark to run it, and we didn't go in the corn maze. But they have awesome park and slides and games to do and so we played there for quite a while enjoying all of that. We did get a pumpkin that was already picked. Bekkah wanted it carved like a princess castle...so Aunt Jenna worked her magic. :)
I LOVE these photos of you and Rebekkah after church. I bought these dresses for you girls on sale last year - and we didn't know or plan for you two to wear your dresses this day - but you did and you guys are so cute! :) The first photo you guys had just finished making a pinky promise...for what? I don't know.
Easton was so precious too! The first photo I had the two girls take was leaning on this wall....when the girls were done Easton came and leaned on the wall to get his photo taken!! Easton, you're so precious!
The next weekend, October 11, we headed to Buhler for Kaydee's (one of my very best friends from high school) bachelorette party! You kids stayed with Mimi and Papa Saturday night. They took you back to the pumpkin patch to have fun. They said you guys had lots of fun - but I have no photos from that weekend of you kiddos! :)
Bride-to-be and me!
We had a lot of fun out for the bachelorette party. We went to the casino, and it was my first time. I had lots of fun - because I was pretty lucky. I only spent $20 - and walked out with $19. I won A LOT, then lost A LOT. But overall didn't lose too much! :) Then we went out to eat, back to the hotel for gifts, then we headed out. It was quite a late night - and this old mom of yours was able to stay out, surprisingly until 4:00 in the morning!! I was TIRED the next day! :)
The next weekend was October 18, and it was finally a weekend at home!
This was Iola's Farm and City days. And this time, Eliana, you got to be in the parade with your dance class!
Getting ready for the parade with your friends Piper and Miles!
parade ready - the pictures are blurry :( But we had to curl your hair all pretty and you had to wear A LOT of make-up. Which did freak me out just a little. But it was okay, I guess. It's hard to see my little baby with so much make-up on - but you loved it. And you sat SO STILL while you were getting ready - I. Was. Amazed! :)
You and your dance teacher, Miss Marielle! You were so precious!!
We also went to another pumpkin patch, this one was in Louisburg. We met Uncle G, Auntie M, and Cousin Ellie at the pumpkin patch.
Easton, you are very in to showing your love right now. Lots of hugs for your cousin Ellie! :)
Eliana you loved the big slide on the hill! Easton, you never cried....but you had a death grip onto your dad and your face was more shocked than happy! :)
Ellie and Easton playing bean bag toss.....Easton was helping out by getting the bean bags out! :)
First taste of apple cinnamon donuts! They were SO SO good!
We had lots of fun as a family at this pumpkin patch as well!
Smiles of fun!
The next weekend, October 25th. We headed back to Buhler. This time for Rebekkah's 6th birthday party!
Friday night. I walked in to the living room and Eliana and Rebekkah were taking selfies together! This was SO cute! When I look at these pictures, I seriously see 10 years in to the future! I hope the two of you continue to be best of friends and want to hang out at our family get togethers.
Rebekkah's frozen cake that I made. I was seriously concerned with how this would look - but I think it turned out pretty cute! :) Best part about this cake? It is only two colors! And I only had to mix up one! :)
Eliana enjoying the yummy cake!
Eliana enjoying the relay at the party. It was difficult for Eliana to have all of Rebekkah's friends show up. Eliana, you got really sad and kept coming to me to tell me the big girls wouldn't play with you. It broke my heart to see you sad, but I know this is also the reality. It's going to be hard for us to keep going to Rebekkah's parties when she invites her friends from school, and you are two, almost three, years younger than them all. We might have to switch to just Eliana/Rebekkah celebrations. :)
Elijah and me after the party! I think he was partied out! Easton spent MOST of the party in the play house at Mimi's house. I think he said, there are too many girls here - I'm going to hide in here! :)
It was a great party, and it's so hard to believe that Rebekkah is already six years old! Rebekkah will always have a special place in my heart. She is the one who made me an aunt....a very special title I took very seriously, especially during the time I was unsure if I would have the title of mom....Rebekkah was the baby I could spoil, while waiting for my own children. Rebekkah and I had SUCH a close bond when she was little - and I still feel as though we have a bond, not as strong, but still a bond! She is an amazing young lady - and I have watched her grow and mature SO much over the last year to two years! I look forward to watching her grow and learn so much now that she's in school!!
The final weekend of October was also the first weekend of November. Friday night, after we trick-or-treated. We headed to Buhler. This was nice because daddy came with us and it was late so you kids slept on the way to Buhler! We went home this weekend for Kaydee's wedding! Again, you kiddos stayed with Mimi and had lots of fun. Mimi (and you kids) sure was spoiled the month of October getting to see each other so much!
Laura May and I!
The four of us tore up the dance floor most the night.....mostly singing to N*Sync!
I look at these two photos above, and I hope for you, Eliana and Easton, that you can find lifelong friends. The ladies in the above photos, Kaydee, Ashli, and Laura are my longest best friends. We have been friends since grade school. And sure, we go months between without talking...and we definitely don't get to see each other near as much as we want to - but we are best friends. We love each other, we support each other, and we are vested in each others lives the best we can be. The men in the pictures above - Nathan, Andy, and Devyn (and your daddy) have joined our little family of friendship. It's amazing that we were able to add four men that get us, and are willing to be friends with us. And the best part is those four guys get a long and can carry on a friendship of their own! It's amazing. And between us all we have added four kids with one on the way (Ashli). I love it, I love that we are friends, I love that we are our own unique family. And I hope and pray you two are able to find friends that are just as amazing and can last through everything as well.
So there it is, our crazy and wonderful month of October! We had and made so many memories! I am thankful though, for a calmer November - where we are able to stay home for a few more weekends!! The cold weather is here though and now we will be gearing up for the holidays!!
Love you sweet children!!
Love,
Mommy
